And as I’ve said I meant clubs direction in resigning players which MM will have a say in albeit not Harkes.

That said I’ve said previously and maintain that MM shld be giving a window and preseason. Dnt agree with this get rid thread.

I can not believe the title of this thread; - MM has achieved the club's targets, with some spare. Everyone agrees the quality of football at times has been very poor, (which doesn't say much for the other clubs in the bottom six), but MM has inherited amost all these players. and can only work with what he has got.
Plus, due to previous financial losses/pandemic, he doesn't have a lot of money to bring in new players. Our four years in the lower division has cost the club a lot of money, and we must realise it's going to take more than one sesson to get us back to a decent level.

Football has changed. Jim is our greatest ever anything, but not all of his words can be taken as read these days. No one is 'accepting mediocrity.' Every single person at that club is working to take us back to where we belong. Hope you've had a chance to chill out and reflect on this thread and realise it was unessecarry.

Out of interest though, Mellon goes, who is coming in to replace him and do any better than he would? (in terms of results, not performances). Not many I can think of.

Most people on here were hoping & praying we could finish 10th this season knowing we were going into the season with much the same squad & was fearing we'd be in danger of going straight back down if dragged into a playoff. Now it would seem the manager needs to be sacked for achieving better than what folk asked for at the start of the season.

And again, agree with this. Staying up and a cup semi, sure we would all have taken that.

Unfortunately the football has frequently been brutal to watch and not good enough tbh. However Micky deserves a chance to bring in new faces and build better for an improvement next season. Not sure if this will actually happen though.

Did anyone really think we were going to be playing free flowing attractive football this season? If you did you seriously need to have a long hard think about the circumstances over the last year.

Fully aware of the circumstances over the last year and before.

I was not expecting free flowing, attractive football every game. But was certainly hoping for better than has been served up virtually every match.

Like I say , staying up and a cup semi has been what we all would have been happy with but Phuk me it’s been a difficult watch all season and overall fairly disappointing to say the least. Hey ho, onwards and hopefully much improved next season.

To be fair we started off playing that way. Then MM s hat himself when we got bumped 4-0! and quickly changed things. Not for the better. However, this thread is totally uncalled for. MM has achieved more than many of us cld have expected and now we move onto next season with a full pre season his belt and hopefully a couple of new faces.
