I do not agree. I think many of them are but I don't think Chesterfield, Bromley Eastleigh or Halifax are ready. Any of the top 5 would be fine in L2.

Depends what you mean by ready, I guess. I think everyone down to Boreham Wood in 13th would at least compete for survival in League Two, and probably end up staying up. The top five would all be comfortably mid-table or above.

It’s the natural result of only having two relegation/promotion places. There’s a bottleneck of badly run, underperforming clubs in League Two and a bottleneck of quite well run clubs near the top of the National League.

Last years Champions have stayed up by a whisker and if they had not changed their manager when they did ( a bold move after they appeared to get a Fullarton type in) would have been doomed whereas bankrolled Harrogate have been pretty comfy. Most of the teams below us except Wrexham have no financial resources and they would all be in the bottom 3 or 4 in my opinion. They might stay up they might not. How do you think Sutton will get on? I am pretty confused by that one.

Let's be honest if Barrow keep the manager that got them promoted they wouldn't have been anywhere close to relegation. They struggled the moment he walked out and they had 3 different managers since.

    Notts - Warnock / Walker.

Small clubs in high divisions. He was always going to go places and he is.

Barrow are a unique one because they lost their manager in the summer. They’re probably the smallest (non-monied) club to go up for ages, changed managers three times or something throughout the season. And they still stayed up.

I don’t think you’re right about the teams below us having no resources either. Chesterfield, Bromley, Solihull, Dagenham and Boreham Wood all have plenty of ££ behind them. Solihull and BWood have been spending for years, they’re similar to the likes of Fleetwood, Crawley and Forest Green who’ve bought their way out before, but this league is far more stacked at the top now than it was five years ago.

Dunno about Sutton, depends if they can keep Gray and most of their team together. If they do I suspect they’ll be fine.

Sutton might be fine next year and I suspect they will keep their manager for now. When it all falls apart and it will fall apart I can see them going down with 10 points.

Chesterfield are fan owned are they not and dont have a lot of dosh. I cant understand how they afford Rowe.
Borehamwoods owner had to remortgage his house in COVID to keep the team going and aren't they bankrolled by Arsenal Ladies? Not sure if that is possible if they go up.
Solihull not sure but they are not really in the mix.
Dagenham & Borehamwood are backed? Really? This is news to me! I will have to do my research.

    Cheers QP.

Dagenham have got American owners I think, their fans seem to think they likely have a top seven budget. They’ve had a bad season.

Generally with the clubs that haven’t been in the league, it’s a pretty fair rule that if they aren’t one of the traditional clubs who’ve often been around this level (Sutton, Altrincham, Wealdstone, Maidenhead, Weymouth, Lynn etc) then they’ve got money behind them.

That sounds convincing and impressive until you realise L2 is out of step with the division above and below in only relegating 2 clubs rather than 4. It's the easiest league to stay up in, we know just how bad you have to be to go down. It might be the case though that no club promoted from the 5th tier has finished in the bottom 4 the following season until Barrow finished 21st, I've not checked.
