Again today the boos rang out whilst the players were taking the knee before they were silenced by clapping. Those who do not agree with taking the knee will not be silenced and calling them ignorant or racist will make it worse as they are not either. People have a right to protest. This protest is more understandably than police being under siege with bottles in London when BLM demonstrations went on.

When we are one of the most tolerant countries in the world and almost every other EU countries stand and don't take the knee ( Croatia today and almost all others ) why do our players feel they need to continue? Obviously this came about mainly because of Lloyd - are the feelings not as strong in Europe? What must other countries in Europe be thinking when our players take the knee and their players do not? Do they even know why our players are taking the knee whilst they stand and watch?

Many have been critical of Southgate and quite rightly so! What if a player does not want to take the knee ( like some of the black players)? Will Southgate drop them? Surely Southgate should have said - I respect those that take the knee and also respect those who don't for their own reasons. Every human is individual

This bollox does need to end as there can only be one outcome - it won't be a good one unless both points of view are fully respected whether it's taking the knee/booing or players not being pressured to take the knee!
