Meanwhile, Willock has posted a pic to his Instagram of him wearing the new Arsenal kit. Could just be an obligation but, still....worrying.

I haven't told anyone to be positive you've just made that up yourself. I'm naturally a positive person about life in general you should maybe give it a go. But as far as Newcastle are concerned I'm positive for the new season and think we can potentially finish comfortably in the top ten if we keep a fit starting 11 which is a big if. Positive about finishing about finishing pre season with a 3-0 win and our backup sticker who's 'not good enough' bagging a brace and positive about the talk of us chasing the Joe Willock signing. That's about it at the moment but if anything else comes to mind you'll be the first to know.

Quite a few websites are reporting a fee of around £20 million has been agreed for Willock who missed the Spurs friendly:

Hopefully it's a done deal and he's in the team against Wet Spam

That would be fantastic if it happens.

And, actually, on that deal, if it turns out to be between £20-£25 million then that's a cracking deal for a 21 year old who scored 8 goals in 14 games and will only get better.

Obviously it's a decent price for Arsenal but I think it's a decent price for us, too. Plus, Willock gets to play regularly and we get a player we (as in, the fans) really wanted.

One of those rare deals where I think everyone's happy.

Why wait until we have played ALL our pre-season games and he has only played half an hour or so of Arsenal's games....

    Makes no sense...

Get players off the wage bill and we also don't have to pay his wages would be my guess.

Agree with Zip it's a good deal though.

Sky Sports are reporting a £25 million fee has been agreed and they've just got to sort out personal terms:

I won't be expecting him to score week in week out like last season mind. I think we've got to be realistic. If he scores 7 or 8 goals in the whole of this season he'll have done well imo. Anything more than that would be a bonus
