Cheers GB (legend). but I was replying to TT (another legend) . IMHO pre season friendlies mean jack. When the season starts with proper crowds it's different gravy.

We were missing 2 of our biggest players who will start every game if fit. Sibbald was starting his first competitive match with teammate he hasn't played with. We had second choice keeper between the sticks.

All that said, apart from the last 10/15 minutes we looked unable to create anything either down the flanks or through the middle. We couldn't keep the ball and start to construct moves. So often we were passing back the way because we couldn't pass through them. When we went long we lost the ball.

So yes when the season starts etc but I was hoping to see a bit of decent football from us even if we lost and I didn't see enough. As others have said we look well behind where we should be. But....Levitt and Fletcher will definite improve on what we saw today.

Yep see what you're saying bud but seen many a pre-season where we've been great and started really bad and vice versa. Thought we played OK after Charlie's 40 yarder but with so many subs it's hard to tell. I do like Cudjoe though, I'd like to see him played more often.

Yeah agree. Cudjoe looks like he might be capable of taking players on and creating havoc in the final third, that would be a first for us in quite a while.

Mulgrews been an important player for us but I don't think Tam had the balls to kick his ar5e when his standards dropped and hopefully Ross will tell him to wise up.

Seemingly Ross was fairly critical with aftermatch comments but I've not seen them.

My biggest fear was when I read Jack Ross will have us playing free flowing attacking fitba

Men vs boys for the most part yesterday. They were a far bigger, stronger, quicker & fitter outfit than us, who were playing their fourth fairly competitive pre-season game. Had a feeling watching the warm ups how that game was going to pan out.

Cudjoe was the obvious standout. Disappointed to see Graham binned for McMann after both players performances last season.

There isn't much point reading too much into selections for games like this I don't think. It's just about players getting minutes and, I'd imagine, being assessed by the new head coach.
