Well done Notts, it was a lack of 1-0 type away wins that cost us last season

Not seen much of Langstaff or Scott, but I feel the onus will be more on the strikers this season to score goals. Wootton was great at holding up the ball and bringing people in but he missed so many sitters, we had no choice to rely on the other attackers for goals, I say this knowing he scored 19, but how many of those were against the fodder in the league? Would I have him back, sure, but I don't think he'd be an automatic pick
Any idea is Langstaff's issue was minor or more serious? Think we will need him this season
Good to get a clean sheet away against a team in our league, psf or not. Hospital Radio commentators said we defended in numbers when necessary and were not overly troubled. Sounds like their keeper and the post saved them from a hiding.
Hoping Baldwin and Langstaff have not suffered injuries.
Only saw the second half but it was standard Wootton: lots of battling between halfway and edge of box, got penalised for soft fouls, got fouled without the defender getting penalised, next to no goal threat.
Different kinds of player I know, but the difference between him and his strike partner Madden in terms of movement and anticipation was very large indeed.

Damn this pre-season optimism, it’s not meant to be like this!!!
Just a nudge for those who listened to the Nottingham Hospital Radio commentary today, they are a registered charity and welcome donations. I enjoyed the commentary and have donated.
At the end of LW;s after match interview.
Finally, Williams confirmed that there could be new additions to the squad ahead of the weekend.
“There’s potential for that,” he confirmed. “We’ve been looking for people who are as close to the perfect fit for us as possible and there’s a realistic chance we might see some movement ahead of Maidenhead.”
