I was of the opinion that we should have been out of sight but the defining moments were the substitutions , I accept Kane because of his fitness levels who incidentally was my MOM but removing Cole, Aitcheson & Thomas changed our play significantly , we suddenly stopped playing football & our attacking game completely faded , at the time of the substitutions I said to my grandkids that I would have left it alone apart from hooking Williams for Edwards who I thought was getting exposed in the second half & in the end we could have lost a game what we should have won comfortably . Footnote : whilst I do not blame the ref for the result I have to say I thought he was the most incompetent official I have seen in years , he had an absolute mare with his finest moment giving an offside against us 2 yards in our half & allowing the resulting free kick to be taken from there , he was shocking.

100 percent agree with your analysis Shadrach. The one thing that I would add is that Thomas was relieving a lot of pressure on the defence. He's able to pick it up from the defence in our half and run it upfield to create an attack. When Thomas went off, this option wasn't available to us.

Spot on Arby. There's no doubt that Thomas is our key player. He's by far our best quality player in an attacking sense. He's able to open up any defence in this division
