I find it increasingly hard to enjoy modern football, VAR just adds another layer to that, that moment encapsulated everything that is wrong with modern football, guy cheating (that barey merits a mention these days) to use the system to try get a player sent off, and incompetent officials on and off the park. So instead of identifying clear and obvious errors, we now find ourselves punished by an error by VAR that wouldn't have happened if VAR hadn't been being used.

This is what is annoys me so much about it. Without VAR the correct decisions would have been made and the use of it has actually introduced an error.
Also, if the referee decision was made based on a still picture, WTF? It's VIDEO assistant referee, not PHOTO assistant referee. Surely even all of us know a still image can make things look bad and you aren't getting the whole picture.
F*ck PAR.
Clearly VAR isn't going to change 'Penalty Rangers!'
Fair enough reviewing offside goals in slow mo as most of the time after review the correct call is made, although for me I would change it to if any scoring part of the body is onside then it stands.
Penalties and tackles should be reviewed in real time not slowed down to find a frame which in isolation does not reflect the intention. Refs should only be overturning clear and obvious errors, if it's open to debate then it's not clear simples
One of the biggest disgrace with VAR is the fact the ref in studio decides what the ref on the pitch sees. Therefore if the VAR ref would like a certain decision he can manipulate it to get that decision.
Happened with Watt and happened with Newcastle a few weeks ago when Newcastle striker was pushed by the opposition defender in the goalie. This lead to a goal. On a VAR check the VAR ref only showed what appeared to be the striker fouling the goalie. He did not show the defender pushing the striker into the goalie. If not a goal it was a penalty. But a foul was give in goalies favour. After it they admitted if they were shown the full incident a goal would have been given. All down to VAR showing what he wanted to be.
Makes a mockery of VAR and will be pounced on by Scottish refs.
The problem for me is the VAR is another referee who will think like a referee and have no idea how a player would see it. How much more would it cost to have an ex player to advise the ref in situations he can’t have any experience.
The situation with Watt was that the ref gave nothing so how can it be a clear and obvious error. It was basically one referee deciding the match ref was wrong.
VAR wouldn't be an issue if we had competent officials. That's the be all and end all for me. Unfortunately, as yesterday showed, our officials just aren't good enough.
