Lord Bamford has cost us 4 crucial points in the last 2 games, miss against Palace to put us 2 up, and today's catastrophic miss. If we had a half decent striker we would be looking at top half of the table, when, when, when will this board get that fact, 4 seasons now of waiting for a striker.

Only needed a decent finisher today (well, maybe for a few seasons) but Radz ain't keen to parting with his £450 million retirement fund is he.

Talented as he is Rodrigo is no central striker and his limitations in that role showed throughout the first-half.
Saka's goal was what a clinical striker can give.

We start with 4-2-3-1, so Adams & Roco with Harrison, Aaronson & Sinisterra BUT only Sinisterra playing on the left wing with Harrison awol in the 10 role with Aaronson in the middle, so NO right winger again.

    1. Nothing AGAIN happened on the right, so as per-usual Kristensen moves into space on the right but has nobody near him to pass to or play a one-two !
    2. Second-half starts with Harrison on the right & Aaronson playing the 10 role but Harrison never touched the ball until finally being replaced by Klich.
    3. JM 'eventually' gets Summerville on but instead of using his pace on the right wing, he's put into a central role ?
    4. So then we've Kristensen and Klich on the right (neither has pace) so nobody to go past a tiring Gunners defence !
    5. Why was Lord B designated penalty taker today is another strange decision ?

    Any Positives ?
    We're still creating chances.
    Passing was much better.

So yes, a JM's Leeds team are not easily daunted & have a persistent willingness to press opponents high up the pitch with an eager eye to counter‑attack which today Defo interrupted Arsenal’s mo-jo flow - so for the neutral I suppose created a high-tempo end to end game to watch but NO points for us die-hards.

    Negatives ?
Not taking advantage of opportunities. It was notable as Bamford walked towards the box prior penalty that Gabriel accompanied him 'evidently having a few 'unsettling words' in his ear'. It was such a blatant attempt to put Bamford off & it worked as it was over hit and curved away.
What's new - well nuffink up front when it mattered (again), striker wise anyway.

Marsch is as stubborn as Bielsa was. While Bielsa continued his Roberts lunacy costing us time and time again, Marsch continues this costly trait with his bizarre substitutions giving just a few minutes maximum to the youngsters and costing points. While everyone says we gave Arsenal a fright, I think a flat dire performance is in store in mid week.

Apart from the shocker of a pen Bambi played alright - we looked much more fluid and cohesive with him in the side

Silence isn't golden. All this sh1t about "Lord Bamford" is about as skIn-crawling as it gets.

Is he perfect? No. Is he more "delicate" than in the season when HIS goals were the difference between promotion to the PL and yet more disappointment? Yes.

Does he make Rodrigo, one of our most expensive acquisitions, look like a complete and utter waste of space, you f00king betcha.

If he can, start him and sub if he runs out of gas with Gelhardt, or Gnonto, anyone but Rod-waste-of-space-rigo.

You'll all be glad I'll not be responding to any replies.

"Any positives?" asks our resident guru.

That Marsch decided to replace the biggest waste of LUFC funds we have ever expended at half time, yes.

That for what seems a lifetime of wasted opportunity, have we given the young players who are supposedly our future a scant few minutes within which to show their true worth, the hell NO!

On balance, we substantially worse than at this point last season, simply because we have lost any sense of squad cohesion and despite the improvement brought abiut by the inclusion of the likes of Rocan andd

and Adams, we are.damned by the clubs inability to address gaps in areas WE all know are there (Struijk is not a full back and Rodrigo won't be an out and out striker as long as he has a hole in his a55)

Replacing him when he runs out of steam is not the point. It is the numerous chances he squanders whilst on there! And that includes our promotion season. He missed more than he got!
I must be running late with the Xmas shopping. 😀

What happened to the "permanent exit"?

It’s a bit like Brexit - it takes time and the parties never do what they say they will😆
