Let's be honest the players in Yellow were just about going through the motions.
It was poor from start to finish and the manager just stood with his hand on his chin offering no motivation to the players whatsoever!
January transfer window will see our squad depleted even further and the fact that we've been poor since the restart after the World Cup will not help with recruitment. We are not brave enough to pluck a player from league 1 or below that's been performing well and throw them in at this level like Huddersfield have done with Thomas and the lad they signed from Wimbledon (the one Warne wanted but we couldn't afford).
I really am dreading the next home match against Blackburn not just because they will anihalte us but because it will also be broadcast to a worldwide audience on Sky.
The thing Is all the players performing in league 1 will be on the radar off championship top league 1 clubs

Think you answered your own question with.

The 1 Warne wanted but we couldn't afford.

Very disappointing performance and result. Usual calls for investment etc etc. But the only investment that is likely to give us a chance of success would have to be big, and by the same token such an investment, if it didn't work would be a huge risk to us having a club to support at all.

Sick of being a yo yo team at this level? This decade has been the best of my 50 year Miller cheering life. I'm grateful for it and without a sugar daddy/mummy somehow overlooking all the other local teams and offering significant risk free investment in the millers, in happy to take the rough with some very good smooth.

Next up. Yes, we'll go down. Even with significant January investment, still very likely to go down. But we've got a young manager that has shown he can make a style work at lower levels so after 6 years of many moaning at warnie style, let's give matt chance to slowly assemble a team that can build, most likely from league 1 and, if it works well, perhaps have a better chance of staying up with a style that could compete with the football playing teams in this league. No illusions though, some very good teams have been built and failed to get out of league 1. But what else can we do. Without risking our club with lots of Dexters mid season!

Call me 'low standards pup' if you like but grateful for the last 10 years and until we get the sugar daddy, keep it this way as don't see it being any better! UtM

Youngest son in hospitality tonight at Huddersfield, & a Terriers fan, people had to pick
the time of first goal, he picked the correct 31st minute, fittingly the scorer Duane Holmes
who son coached at Altofts Fc, & won a prize.
Son said we were shocking tonight.

Having just arrived home from a near 300 miles round trip, I can't help but ponder if the players had put the same amount of effort into their performance as I did going to watch them, the scoreline may have been different! Eaves injury was unfortunate but after he left the field we looked like a bewildered outfit. I suspect that MT does not have the dressing room. This group of players would have run through walls for the last manager but that level of enthusiasm has deserted us. I simply cannot believe that any manager would consider Chieo to be a front man. He's a right winger but on tonight's performance, he'd struggle to get in a pub team. At one stage in the second half, we had Harding, Cuffy and Chieo all playing on the right side with no-one in the middle! He takes off the only man in the team who can head the ball - Kioso - and puts on a left winger whose job is to put decent crosses into the box - but for who!?

Tactically appalling, totally lacking in energy and desire and an embarrassment to the 1800 or so hardy souls who made the effort to cheer on their team. We're heading in one direction only and it's a familiar road!

"If I had the players behind me with real quality, thats no disrespect to the bench" - Matt Taylor.

    Got to love his honesty.

Top man just say it how it is and screw this p.ussyfooting around. Warnes soft days are gone now it’s time for some reality checks that some fairies at the club may not like.

I only wish that at Huddersfield we had 10 outfield players called Ollie Rathbone. Had we had them, A.rsenal wouldn’t have beaten us!

Please don’t let this young man disappear for nothing.

Wood will be the next manager. Players have already downed tools because they won't adapt to new ideas. Taylor will be gone soon and Wood will be given the job of getting us out of league 1.

I can understand everyone lashing out. Players not trying, sack the Manager, conspiracy theories. Stopping going.
This happens every other season. It won't change without considerable investment, and we aren't big enough for that. As someone put earlier, these are golden years in our history.
I'm not knocking the players for tonight, we can barely field a team at the moment. Can't see us getting another twenty odd points, but hey, who knows? Maybe we'll survive to go through all this again next season.
