We don't have the time to bring a manager in who can do the "micro-managing" you mention. The "tight squad of motivated, mouldable, receptive individuals", sounds very Bielsa-like, which many of the mature players would probably welcome.

I can't see us spending new mega amounts given recent spending, so presumably any new coach will have to "make do and mend" which might also lend itself to his way of coaching.

As I say, any coach doing those things has to be a huge step in the right direction (and PLEASE, no more playing Struijk as a LB unless we intend to completely demoralise the poor guy!).
    Agree totally WTF. 😊

What have we learned from our last 2 appointments ?
More to the point - others before ?

Just like they're changing the chairs on the Titanic if we get another promising emerging younger name in - look at Southampton now 7 games in with they're last 'young promising appointment' of Nathan Jones from high flyers Luton.

Experience matters & size of it.

As we need results fast it has to be a known name, surely ?

We need someone to develop our players who are only strong from a technical perspective currently.
So our tactical & psychological perspective will be low for the next incumbent.

We need a respected Coach to quickly develop our players with a growth mindset with a winning mentality for starters & for me that means employing a proven winner of high quality not a Boardroom 'patsy' bought in to pacify our naive prospective USA owners.

Certainly no appointment who'll just guarantee PL safety every season but someone who can move us up into top 10 sooner rather than later.

Pressures high but the 29.73% win per centage of Marsch might be our only season high if the club employs another promising wannabe - hence Tuchel as an ideal choice.

I haven't given up on Ange guess we'll know soon if not today tomorrow. Might be announced tomorrow before the game and he can say his hello to fans.

If (of those two) its NOT Corberan, then we might as well kiss the PL goodbye and say hello to League 1 (yes, League 1, because we won't stop falling until we get there).

There are others, and for once I would agree wih a number of those who post here, Tuchel would be my choice, and he would be imeasureably better than some (metaphorically speaking), wet-behind-the-ears Spaniard.

I’m not sure I buy into the theory of having to have premier league experience.
Lots of managers have come into it with no experience of it and done pretty well.
It helps though if you have a footballing brain with a bit knowledge of tactics and plans and how to change games with subs or alternating players etc. Rather than just get the ball and everyone charge towards the opposition goal.
It’s quite simple when you think about it. Stop the other team from scoring and score 1 or 2 yourself. Job done.

Yep Tuchel for me too, but I bet the hierarchy haven’t even considered it, when they should have been ‘touching him up’ months ago.

If this is true, it will be the first time I have agreed with a push from Orta for anyone!

Carlos just signed a new contract until 2027. The man is a legend and supporters love him! No wonder Bielsa ( who I rated highly ) said Corboren was hugely talented!

Whoever you get will be a risk without Premier experience but good luck.

Even Andy or Oz could manage a team in Scotland and win something. That’s how bad it is.
