I know he has only 2 or 3 cameo appearances today but as other have said he is defo no better than Bamford, Rodriguez or even Gnonto.
Didn't see any of the game, but from what I have heard (radio etc) and read here, we seem to have paid an awful lot for not very much when it comes to Rutter. Why?

Why do you persist in calling Bamford by some homophobic nickname, yet Rutter gets his correct name, when even you acknowledge that the American who cost the club a transfer record isn't as good as Bamford?

Agree, but early days. Reminds me of kid in school playground at break-time.

Don’t view Bampuff as homophobic. He’s a soft player that is prone to injury. Reminds me of watching the powderpuff football ( throw ball) players we have here in the US. Every play is followed by an injury. He’s loaded with talent but soft. You could contrast him with weghorst who appears tough as nails when playing. I prefer that style.

I’m open for a nickname for Rutter.

Yep the one who's had too many blue smarties.

I do suspect we have been rodgered on this deal by about 20 million quid...time will tell.

He was, for nearly three seasons, and at the moment IS, our only out and out attacker, and his injury record reflects that, but why would you give him any credit, after all he only scored approximately 25% of the goals that got us out of the Championship and kept us the PL in the first season back! He isn't "soft" he's DAMAGED FFS, and so would you be if you had had to perform is similar circumstances.

And Firpo, Sinisterra, LLorente, all of whom have had extended periods injured (even in Sinisterras case), haven't made anything like the contribution to the club that Bamford has, and yet do they get similar treatment, or is it just that it would require a bit more thought to come up with a "funny" nickname?
