Don’t you just find it funny how the BBC are covering this.. the opening of the 6pm news - “the BBC have confirmed the unnamed person in the alleged” blah blah - treating it as a 3rd person lol.

Anyone else think this is all false? one way to end the BBC licence? or something more sinister going on.

A lawyer acting on behalf of the young person has issued a statement saying his/her mother had contacted The Sun without his/her consent and that he'd contacted The Sun before they'd published the story telling them his/her mother's claims were all untrue, but they published it anyway. The Met Police have said they're not investigating anyone regarding the matter.

Some lawyers are going to be rubbing their hands with all the names that have been banded about on social media.

As I said previously, some are already considering it. Best to keep your powder dry sometimes.

Even if the un-named presenter is found to have done nothing illegal (and therefore the Police will not pursue any further investigations), surely he will still be on a sticky wicket in terms of his job if his actions are found to have brought his employer into disrepute-especially if the Sun choose to publish details which-providing they actually have solid evidence for it-they undoubtedly will. Scholfield did nothing technically illegal and look what happened to him.

The whole thing may be more complex than at first sight with the individual contradicting his mum and step dad but if there is much more than a grain of truth in the allegations it ain't gonna end well for him. I know it's a process but the quicker this is over with the better.
