I'm wondering if VK can resort to the SD philosophy of nicking a goal and holding out for a 1-0 win, because with Foster leading the line we won't score two.

Nigeria fielded a white girl and had two white coaches, unlike SA where white faces are as rare as rocking horse ****, for some reason or other.

I don’t think England are the clear tournament favourites at all. Sweden have had a far tougher draw and have eliminated the USA and Japan in successive knockout matches. England will have another very physical test against Colombia and hopefully their experiences against Nigeria in the last round will have helped them to prepare. If we get through the Colombia tie I will be mighty relieved.

Injuries and suspensions will be the ruination of England's chances Sir Outwood, additionally Spain, Sweden and Australia are serious impediments to us winning the bloody thing.

I have to agree with Outwood and BT, I cannot see us winning this, we have a competent, well organised team, but nothing special, we just aren't quite good enough.

Just watching france Australia and both are looking better than us, especially the Matildas who are improving each game, I think they'll win this.

England picked themselves up from a goal down to put out Colombia and will now face the Matildas. Australia are the only team to beat England in the Wiegman era. I think Sarina and the players will want to put that right in the semifinal.

I can't see it Sir Outwood, I think we have come to the end of the road.

    Good try though.

One thing in our favour, at least we have an extremely competent goalkeeper, not all the others do, in fact some of them hardly qualify as joke keepers.
