New parking restrictions around Tannadice on match days.

Because the away busses already have the designated parking point which i believe has been Neish Street for as long as ive been a supporter. As such, they are not the problem, its all you feckers in cars home and away fae ootside the permit zone that cause the problems!

Wanting to go to the football by car is just so wrong eh?

I think you need to drop the smokescreen, stop trying to change the subject, and agree that the way disabled fans are being treated with these new regulations is a disgrace.
The more publicity the better, whether it's on football message boards, the Tele, Courier etc all the better.

Luckily I am still able bodied but proud to be woke when it comes to supporting oppressed minorities!

I would like to see the councillor committee chairman/person who allowed this decision to be given a car with a wheelchair in the boot on a windy cold rainy day, drive to Provie Road, take the wheelchair out of the boot and personally wheel it over to Tannadice. What a bunch of absolute ******s.

As you have no doubt realised, there aint no smokescreen in this and i truly do want this sorted out in the correct way, short term by reinstating the parking in N Isla Street, and if the restrictions have to return, only after proper facilities are made available elsewhere. Until i see anything different, i will maintain that there is more to this issue than the Residents Permit Scheme in a street with little or no residential accommodation.
You are right though, this does need to be publicised, but in the right places which i dont believe is on here, and to that end, i have done my bit, but i want the same person to hear straight from those who are adversely affected by this and i aint putting their contact details in this thread.

I too for now am able bodied, but i do not think it is woke to stand up for someone in this situation. Occasionally through work i assist with access for disabled people, and i used to have a good relationship with a regular who would have been the ideal person to speak to in this situation, but sadly i have not seen them since before Covid.

The thing is, this can be easily resolved with some common sense. Allow blue badge parking in the restricted area like it is in the rest of Scotland the vast majority of the time. 🤔

Should never have been taken away from N Isla Street in the first place!

I know the answer is its DCC who implemented this, but surely they contacted both teams and asked them how many season ticket holders required parking for Blue Badge holders. Sadly it does not surprise me one bit if the question wasnt asked by someone through the process that led here.

I have contacted a councillor about this, but i have yet to see a reply which i hope is because they are gathering information, and not hiding their embarrassment!

I'm pretty sure the clubs were contacted but how would they know how many fans have blue badges? They'll know how many have season tickets for the accessible sections but there are bound to be others with a blue badge that sit in the stands.

Regardless, it's not just season ticket holders. It's away fans and anyone else who has a blue badge that may be in the locality/resident and not even going to the match.

Fecking disgraceful you have had to go through this. As ive said before, pm me and i will give you the email address of the person who listened to myself and others with protestations that led to the Permit Scheme being implemented.

I still maintain though that i think there is more to N Isla Street and Blue Badge parking than it being part of the Permit Scheme, and i will re-iterate that Dens Primary, the area behind the Shed and the corner at Gussie Park should be looked at to provide your parking. I think N Isla Street Blue Badge parking should be reinstated short term, and if there is a safety reason for restrictions, get another parking area sorted ASAP!

I will be emailing to get this looked at as well, and i implore others to do so as well.

Well im probably gonna come over as a bit harsh here, but TTT needs stop moaning in here about it and get in touch with those who can start the ball rolling on getting a resolution to this issue. I have offered help with contact details for those that helped me, but im not going to put that in his thread.

It would seem almost all of Fairbairn St, from Arklay St to the school, is exclusively for bus parking as well. There are bus lanes lining both sides of the street and signs up saying 'bus parking 3pm-5pm'. It looks like residents are being papped out of this area for supporters buses.

An update; I've informed the club, DCC, and the local press about my experience on Saturday. Who knows if it'll make any odds but we'll see.
