No wonder John Nelms doesn't want to engage when people capable of this sort of comment are involved. Not a dig at Islay by the way just a general comment ref how certain individuals past (and possibly present) look to John Nelms. How can he respect Dee4Life when former directors are making this sort of statement in writing on a public forum?

Yet again this topic is dragged back. A pity as I am sure you will have good ideas to help Dee4life form a robust strategy for their growth.

    Bcram......what is the "growth" for?

You cud have 10000 members would make no difference to Linda.

I think they are a wee bit lost......they now realise Linda won't play ball he's got a better pal in DSA who will do as he wants....he dosent need d4L.....(dosent need DSA either but they provide him with cover and something to annoy D4l with)

They don't won't to pick a fight with Linda.....last resort and AHH that.....as a certain D4l member and poster on here says " sometimes you have to stand up to the school bully "

    So what is their purpose?

Maybe their purpose is to just guard the A shares.......because if they won't force Linda's hand re representation then what's the point in pretending anything else ?

    Genuine question.

I think Dee4life will be useful in the future. I was impressed by the new board who seemed to be building on the work carried out by previous board members. Seems to me they could form a rainy day fund if they can engage with the wider range of Dee supporters. I don't think picking a fight with a bully is a fair way to describe the relationship or lack of relationship with the DFC Board.

Spending time and effort to build the membership and funds seems to me to be a better use of effort than fretting about someone who is not interested in Dee4life.

It's disappointing that there does not seem to be many who actually want to see a broadly based fan base for Dee4life.

Well I think he has bullied D4l and continues to do so.

As you know not a member now but don't wish them any harm just see it as all a bit pointless if they can't get their seat on the board and ain't prepared to fight for it.

Think Dundee fans have had enough of fundraising and rainy day funds to be honest........cud be wrong but I think that shipped has long since sailed.

My post is certainly not slanderous. It states the facts and if you were still a Dee4life member and you had attended the AGM on Saturday 11th November 2023 you would have heard exactly what was stated.
Again if you were still a Dee4life member you would be able to access the Members section of the Dee4life website where you could read the minutes of the AGM and the Q and A for yourself.
I have held off posting this information until the minutes of the Dee4life AGM and Q and Q were published in the Members section of Dee4life website.

Nelms is only interested in people who do his bidding and do not ask searching questions.
The current Dee4life board of directors have tried to get their primary representative on the Dundee Football Club Limited board of directors but got nowhere.
Eventually they admitted in their newsletter on 29th September 2023 that they had got nowhere and stated that they had ring fenced a sum of money for legal action if need be.
They then announced in their October newsletter that they had undertaken a meeting with the local MSPs seeking their assistance to try to end this impasse with Mr Nelms.
John Nelms took the hump regarding what was stated in the September and October Dee4life newsletters and had his message for the Dee4life members conveyed to them at the AGM.
What are the Dee4life board of directors supposed to do.
Roll over and accept everything that John Nelms does with good grace and if it all goes ‘pear shaped’ state “We should have done something about that”.
However by then it will be too late and Dundee Football Club will either be no more or merged with the Dabs.
I am fortunate enough to have been a Dundee supporter since August 1960 and I have seen us winning the League Championship in the 1961-62 season plus the European Cup matches at Dens Park against Cologne and A C Milan.
I was also present at Hampden Park, Glasgow on Saturday 15th December 1973 when we won the League Cup.
I would be devastated if Dundee Football Club was no more but at least I have the memories of the good times in the 1960’s and the first half of the 1970’s which will sadly never be repeated.
In my opinion there is certainly a demand for a ‘rainy day’ fund to be set up especially as there were 522 people contributing to the 1893 Foundation in April 2022 (Source Dundee Football Club website) despite them not knowing how their monthly donations were being spent.
The Dundee FC supporters should be very concerned that the new directors of Sandeman Properties Limited have borrowed money from the the Isle of Man based financial company Soho Green putting up Dens Park Stadium as security for their loan.
According to the Soho Green website they charge interest rates on their loans of between 0.95% and 2% per month which equates to between 11.40% and 24% per annum.
You do not have to be Einstein to work out what will happen if this loan secured over Dens Park is not repaid in full including the interest.
Soho Green will become the owners of Dens Park.

Nelms sent an errand boy who is also a Dee4life member to convey his message on his behalf.
John Nelms did exactly the same thing when FPS tried to purchase the A shares for a pittance in December 2018.
On that occasion the Dundee Football Club Financial Director attended the meeting with the Dee4life board of directors when it had nothing to do with Dundee Football Club.
It was FPS namely John Nelms and Tim Keyes who were trying to purchase the A shares for a pittance.

You are obviously not a Dee4life member otherwise you will have read what was stated in the minutes of the AGM and Q and A on Saturday 11th November 2023.
I suggest that you join Dee4life and then you will be able to read the minutes in full where you will read that I have posted exactly what was stated at the meeting.
Then you can post your personal apology to me.
