Let's all go and support East Fife again. If you think we're drap, consider their supporters

To clarify GP I don't think we're crap per se, what I do think is that we are worse than we need to be. I think in a heated moment Hourihane said what many of us think ie we are playing in a way that doesn't max our squad. Instead of being greater than the sum of the parts such as, imo, the likes of Oxford are, we are a six cylinder running on four!
I still take great satisfaction in having a club to support and that is the most important thing. But now we are up and running again let's make the best of what we've got, I don't think we are and I won't accept that that's owt to do with worldie goalies!

I wasn’t sure if he meant ‘crap’ or ‘drab’. Either way I think East Fife won 4-0 at the weekend! That’d be nice tomorrow evening, but I totally agree with your comment above mac. My sentiments exactly, particularly every word of your final paragraph.

Ah no rA has been wringing his hands and slitting his wrists since early August. I'm a realist, I mean McGoldrick whom rA was in a proper state about him leaving us, has scored 6 in 13 league games so not exactly as prolific, I mean Collins has 5 in 12! Washington on the other hand has 1, mm.

Some of the players now being criticised were either recruited by Rosenior or at the club before then, yet Warne's recruitment is slagged off.

A myriad factors can affect a team, its clear we are missing some creativity and pace, but it is true that other teams with possibly inferior players have worked harder than us and it can't be denied have enjoyed some fortune or capitalised on Derby errors.

But whatever stature Derby has a club compared to the supposedly "lesser" teams that have either beaten us or are above us in this "average" league, one important point seems to be missed constantly - these players have been brought in on free transfers - so they are journeymen.

Oh here we go. The poster who can’t contribute without becoming personal.
No handwringing or wrist slashing from me Swale...never has been, neither was I ever ‘in a state’ about losing McGoldrick...just pointed out that his goals would need replacing. Was I wrong? It would seem not.

You’ve consistently supported Warne. Nothing wrong with that...it’s what you think, but that’s where your consistency ends. I see you’re now trying to shift the blame by identifying players currently being criticised as being Rosenior’s signings while conveniently forgetting that it was a team largely made up of Rosenior’s signings that took us so close to the play offs last season.

Ultimately whether you and I agree or not doesn’t matter one jot and your personal rants just bore everyone. We disagree...end of...and I’m not going to get involved in another personal shouting match with you. Better things to do...even you though must recognise that there’s a lot wrong at DCFC.
Since the last time we ‘spoke’ things have only deteriorated further and we are now closer to being in a position which you have twice suggested would signal the end of Warne.

Let’s hope for better things tomorrow night and an end to your repetitive churlishness.

As Swale says we are a team of journeymen, every team in this league is made up of journeymen, that's why they are playing in this league! And that is my point, why are Oxford's journeymen being so consistent and doing so well whilst we and other team's journeymen carry on stuttering. Is a reincarnated Pele their main striker, is Roy Mac's ghost at the heart of their defence? No, it's down to getting the best out of what you've got. They are we ain't.
Making our journeymen tick is Warne's and his staff's job, and he'll only survive at DCFC if he makes a success of it irrespective of what I, Swale or Mr Clowes think!
I believe our motley crew can make the top six, I hope Warne can get us there but if he doesn't I don't see him surviving!! As I say its a results business!

Greetings one and all. I'm new to the forum, my user name Dennis the Menace in honour of my Dad who had ST for donkeys. I think that we need to win next three to save Warne. We are slipping away from play-offs and will likely lose Nyambe in January and others next summer. This season is a golden opportunity with the team we have to win this league, we should be in and around the top 2. Warne's reluctance to use mid field and keep ball wide with crosses over to Collins surrounded by massive defenders isnt working. I like Paul Warne as a person, and I imagine the players do as well. Big turn around needed but cannot see it happening, hope to be proved wrong. Clowes showed he can be ruthless dumping Rosenior, he may have to be so again

Welcome Dennis, look forward to your contribution.
I'm with Mac's opinion that he isn't getting the best out of these players, and I'm not sure that they fully believe in what they are being asked to do.
I don't think Clowes will be ruthless, unless we drop too near the bottom. And I'd agree with that approach.
Only expected mid table, but I am disappointed that we aren't "the best version of ourselves" as PW recently put it, and that's down to him.
