Although I suppose someone called Tsar and Roulla should be a leader on the pitch.
Nick Tsaroulla but loses his (moral) compass

That argument has lost all credibility really as we had 3 very good signings lined up when it went out and that’s what’s really getting people excited now.
Everyone knows, especially existing and possible new ST holders that are engaged with the club that ML could go anytime, he could go on August 30th, so maybe they should have awaited till September to announce it.

So why did the club not hold its water?

Maybe just maybe the conversation with Macca was “we’re going for it this season and we need you” he’s probably got a clause in his contract where he will get pay increase and he’s genuinely excited to stay for another season. Maybe we won’t even accept silly offers, there’s an opportunity this season as 3 of the highest financially supported 3 have gone, so if you are going to invest, statistically this season is an opportunity, last season not so much.

interesting. He only got a minute in the playoff final too, which all makes me think he is being thought of as backup, but who can say from here. Another strong signing though. This pre-season's recruitment definitely rocks.

Crawley fans wanted him to stay and rate him; Stevenage fans say he was going to sign for them in L1 until we came in for him at the last moment. Definitely sounds like a strong signing to me.

This doesn't explain the timing of the announcement unless you're believing club and player have made their minds up and he's staying.
