Thread: Crowley to Mansfield/MK Dons rumours

  1. #51
I'd have no issue with him being sold if the price was right and we had identified a replacement.
However, we should not sell to Mansgield

    The Bros hopefully understand that.

On the basis of some random baseless post on faceache by a spurious user name, we are now selling Jones and Crowley are more interested in the Nest than promotion and several of the players we have sold for a huge profit would have stayed if we hadn't let Luke Williams go to Swansea for another massive fee. Wow!

They would need to offer serious $$$$$ for us to consider this - do Mansfield have that kinda money?

If they do go it will be a relegation battle all season as quality replacements will not be brought in and the squad is very thin as it is ??
As a strategy that wouldn't make any sense whatsoever. If they sell the club now it will be for nothing, and they'll have just lost every pound they spent.

You'd only do it if you were broke, and if they were broke why did they spend all that dosh on the nest and the pitch?

Exactly their probably 20m in so get that down to 19m with selling them 2 and as a result be mid table, crowds dropping and losing 1-2 million a year, yeah I’m sure that’s the plan 😂

They're serious about building a club that is sustainable for the long-term, which includes significant capital investment in infrastructure that brings in revenue on an ongoing basis.

Some of the money from sales will be reinvested in players I'm sure - probably already has, but don't expect the club to be splashing big money. The emphasis is on value, and if they can pick up a great player for a small fee or no fee - as they did with Crowley and Rodrigues and Langstaff (to name but three) - then that's what they'll do, when those opportunities arise.

I get a bit tired of fans laying down the law about how they think the club should be run. When a club is owned by private individuals it's the owners' prerogative to make such decisions, and the Reedtz Bros haven't got much wrong, unlike their predecessors. If fans want fans to call the shots, go back to being fan-owned club and see how much money there is to play with.

The Bros have already said IF they got us to the championship they probably couldn’t take us any further. My bet would be they want us breaking even this season or next with the hope we may make it to the champ and then someone may want to buy us for 25-30m with a hope of getting us to the prem.

Don't leave the door a JAH for that possibility.
