I am confused by the “consenting adults” bit.
Doesn’t sound “consenting” to me.
I'm no fan of Stan Collymore, but his autobiography 'Tackling My Demons' was a far more intriguing read than most ex-footballers' life stories, and in the chapter where he covers being caught 'dogging' he makes the point that a lot of the people in the media and the celebrity business were in no position to be judgemental because they were far from squeaky clean themselves.
Jermaine Jenas has been caught out and he'll have to accept the consequences for himself and his career, but it does remind me of Stan's observation that plenty of the folks commenting on the story - particularly in the media - have a pretty insecure footing on the moral high ground.
