If anyone was interested. The Rezillos were excellent last night and capped off a great day.

Enjoyed that yesterday. I honestly thought we were never in any danger yesterday even after conceding so early. Clarkson and Shinnie were immense yesterday. Need much more of that from young Leighton and more often. Referee was hopeless and infuriating yesterday.

Interesting to note that only 3 of the starting 11 yesterday started the home game in September against Mothgerwell.

Well that was certainly much more like it.

Agree with others that this was probably our best, most complete performance of the season with everyone contributing.

Defence overall was good apart from the obligatory pish goal conceded. Knoesters continues to impress and I though Dorrington had a very good game. Composed, strong and showed a good turn of pace a few times.

Jensen got targeted by long balls a lot but coped well which was good, as due to his size thats gonna happen a lot.

Shinnie excellent at LB again, especially going forward. Just keep him there and nowhere near midfield.

Clarkson & Palaversa were excellent in the middle. Ran the show. Need to give them a chance to build a partnership in there as based on yesterday it could be very good.

Special mention for Clarkson. He was sensational. Technically excellent on the ball, hardly wasted a pass all day & used the ball intelligently & well. Great goal too.

Probably his best performance since he came here & clearly MOTM, though god inexplicably gave it to Nisbet. Need more of that from you wee man.

Nisbet was very good too though. Couple of excellent goals. Proper number nines finish for the first (amazing what a decent cross into the box does) & the second was a screamer.

Keep this up, weve got to seriously look at signing him in the summer.

Wingers were decent. Okkels better, though hes affa right footed for playing on the left.

So overall, lots to be positive about. Im going up to Dingwall next week so hopefully more of the same.

Well that was better. Great performance. Make up of team, opposition tactics or just much better intensity/tempo from us?

I like Nilsen but a combination of him and Palaversa or Shinnie does seem to slow us right down.

The whole team seemed more on it though - perhaps a break had been needed?

Clarkson was fantastic yesterday, like he was his last few games on loan before we signed him. The player we’ve not seen enough of.

Nearly every starter had a great game though, thought Gueye was a lucky man, could easily have gone for that petulant lunge.

What’s the chances of us keeping Nisbet? I’d hope after previous unhappy moves he’d be more inclined to accept a wage cut for somewhere he enjoys? Clutching at straws probably. He looks a senior player out there now though, marshalling folk and talking to them. He was never as bad as folk made out but incredible improvement in him.

It was a much better game than probably what the majority of us expected.
I was really happy to see we worked on our corners and it resulted in a great goal from Clarkson.
It?s amazing what a real bit of training can do.

    According to the Daily Record:

"Motherwell midfielder Andy Halliday insists Aberdeen striker Pape Gueye's challenge on him would have been a red card 30 years ago and believes VAR should have intervened"

I work with a current referee who does SPL games and was having my usual rant at him about weekends games, he said VAR wouldn't have sent off Pape. So f*ck Andy Halliday, hun c*nt.

He also said the Morris decision (not allowing play to continue) was a shocker, but insists Hardie is a good ref and highly regarded.

Here is the EE take on it is without the DC Thomson paywall. Consider it a picket line as a protest against their trades union antipathy, the feudal wannikers. ✊🏼 https://archive.ph/qYvBU ?

What would a 33 year old know about football refereeing 30 years ago?
