    Very poor performance today.

Is it just me or does Tobers always look extremely uncomfortable playing in defence?

He plays in midfield for Latvia and he just doesnt look like a defender, I would be looking to play Jack Milne more next season.

Jensen should be playing ahead of Devlin every week if he is fit.

Keskinen just sums up our season, looks good in some games then is poor in others, his decision making must improve next season.

Thelins not under any pressure this season but he will be next season if we are as inconsistent as we have been in his first year.

I watched five minutes of the first half. That was enough. The team looked awful passing to sevco players when passing to red shirt would have been easier. As for the cup final- Aberdeen should field all their 20000 support and put the team on the terraces there- they would be more effective there.

WTAF Aberdeen - Another utter embarrassment to the shirts.

This is them allegedly playing for cup final places too - honest to god, pathetic.

Horrific all over the park. Defence has had an absolute mare here.

Way too lightweight all over the park too, midfield especially. Big Pape is the only physicality we have anywhere.

Two weeks in a row, big games with third still available and we have shown zero appetite & desire - as well as the usual inability to do the basics - its just not good enough.

The fact we are fourth - and likely to finish there too - really is a damning indictment on the quality of this league.

For the money weve spent (in Scottish terms) we should be getting much, much better value than we are.

Jimmy needs to have another good long look at himself and this team, cause we are miles away currently.
Admire your optimism about finishing 4th...the way we are playing we could easily end up 6th...Saints have Hibs at home and then septic away (so opportunity to ruin the "party" as we did a few years ago when Consi got the winner) which would leave us playing United (assuming we both lose in midweek) for 5/6th place - would you put any money on us getting even a draw next Sunday. That's my pant pissing take but...happy clapping...it won't matter in the grand scheme of things as we'll take all our chances (and we usually do create a few) in final and do a Thistle on them.

If we had won half the games during that ridiculous 14 game slump we would be second in the league. They still haven't explained what caused that, there must have been some incident or argument because that wasn't normal.

Fair point about 4th. Absolutely not in the bag yet, but I dont think results can/will conspire against us with 2 games left to finish below 5th - which is bad enough after the start we made - a start which is even more inexplicable than the long winless run if we are honest.

Lets be clear, at 2-0 today every single one of them threw in the towel and just gave up out there.

Ability is one thing - we all know that they are just a bunch of fairly limited footballers at the end of the day - but attitude is another thing entirely and should be a given for every player, yet we sadly lack in that department too.

Same just giving up as happened today also happened last time down there, at Killie at xmas, against the Tims at least twice this year, and there have been loads of other games where the attitude and desire on display has been totally unacceptable.

Thelin had a long post match debrief apparently. Well its not worked before so what is going to be different now?

Ive been told the Aussie winger is signed & 3 other signings are agreed and defo coming in, but cant be announced until post season. Ive no idea how accurate that is, but I do sincerely hope both that this is true and also that is only the start as that team still needs loads of work.

It?s annoying because talent costs you money but attitude and fitness shouldnt cost a penny. You just can?t trust this squad of players. They dont like it up em

You are right about performances like today being something that has happened on numerous occasions this season with the current squad of players and Thelin.

But the bigger picture is these performances have been happening regularly under 5 or 6 different managers with completely different squads over the last 5 or 6 years.

I can see certain individuals chomping at the bit (not yourself) to start calling for Thelin to be sacked but is it really going to make a difference?

We have been chopping and changing managers yearly this decade but it hasnt made any difference, just a rinse and repeat scenario.

Personally I would like to see us give a manager a few years to try to build something, its not like the usual suspects will give the next manager more than 6 months before they start calling for his head.

Would you seriously want an Aberdeen led Jimmy Turnip team to watch for the next 2 or 3 years?
We are weak all over the pitch. If we were say needing defenders i could maybe stomach that until the next transfer window if I seen a lot of positives from a goalkeeper, midfield and forwards.
Would I want this guy backed again this summer so he can make wholesale changes?.absolutely not.
The idiot will keep persevering with the likes of Okkels in the hope he has 1 good game so he can tell us there is a player in there who is worth breaking our transfer record for.
The man is way out his depth?get rid of him after the up and coming cup final debacle (we can all predict happening).
I would rather we played our successful youth team for the remaining matches as they had a bit something about them. The current lot who represent the first team have extremely little of anything.

You have wanted every manager we have had sacked since you joined this forum.

We cant keep sacking managers every year because they dont live up to your expectations, Thelin will be under more pressure from fans next season but unless we are struggling at the bottom of the league Cormack wont get rid of him, he spent too long trying to get him here.

To answer your question yes I would give Thelin a few years to try to build a team like he did at Elfsborg, I cant guarantee it will work but what I can guarantee is that you will be wanting the next manager sacked 6 months after he walks in the door so for that point alone its a waste of time getting rid of Thelin anytime soon.
