Didn't see the match but by all accounts we couldn't string two passes together.
That's alarming.
The Old Firm played dead rubbers against our main euro rivals but still showed enough to swat them aside with ease despite it being massive for Hibs and The Sheep. It left the door wide open for us and all we had to do was take care of a team who scraped into the top 6 but we blew it and in doing so handed them an avenue to europe which a few weeks ago was beyond their wildest dreams.
While I agree St Mirren are a big strong side, they have been all season and we stood upto it 4 times without conceding a goal
We are weaker than earlier in season, we are missing a few key players, others are off it and maybe a couple carrying injuries
The system was wrong, if we were going 3 at back then Sevelj should have been in midfield beside Doc and Sibbald with SCH in the back
A few players off it, Walton wasnt to blame for goal, he was unsighted, it was Ferry who cost the goal by just letting the boy pass it into the box , and Ferry was poor as was a few other that have been mentioned, Strain, Sibbald and Doc
Subs were not the best, Paton should never been on ahead of VDS nevermind Moult
And we are seeing how important Luca was, the midfield with him besides Sevelj was great and him beside Doc and Sevelj was our best three, Sibbald is not back to his best unfortunately yet
We are very much missing Graham which makes us miss Holt too in a way, when Graham is fit then Holt being away isn't really as noticeable as we saw on the recent 1-0 wins, either Luca and Graham both played, now we are missing both
A team that's came into form at the right time, just before the split and without the same selection headaches or confidence issues we have
They've drawn with Sevco, beat the sheep and now us, will likely take something at home to Hibs too
Our top 5 hopes will depend on us picking up an unlikely win in the next week with the team looking out of form and starting to leak cheap goals to give teams the first goal, which is crucial most of the time
Easter rd, Hibs were average but Gallagher gifted them an opener, not what you need when looking to kick on after the Celtic game, yesterday half an hour in and the game going like the previous 4 meetings had, then Ferry has his turn to sell the jerseys
Don't envy the manager just now but he's getting a few things wrong selection wise, Wed if we can avoid a heavy defeat would give us some hope for Saturday (assuming Celtic don't fk up at Pittodrie)
