Well, a win is a win but it wasn't a great game. Equally the job was done in the first leg, so no one was going to bust a gut to much and risk injury or cards.

Good that Wissa got a run out.
Good that A. Murphy got first start and played whole game.
Good that Shahar got his debut.

Job done - through to the next round with no injuries or suspensions - but yeah, not a great game but it was pretty much a dead rubber after the first leg

I thought A Murphy looked composed.
Two teams who knew the tie was over after 10 minutes: one went for it, playing in a great stadium and enjoying the experience, the other hoping to run down the clock and avoid injury and tiredness. Job done.

Yeah, not a lot to take out of that but we're through, hopefully injury free and a couple of the young lads got a run out.

    Good stuff.

Can't help feeling disappointed that Osula didn't seize his chance.

I think that will have cemented in Eddie's mind that Osula goes in the summer.

His pressing was good and he was enthusastic but their was no instinct around goal.

Sheare said it best - though I can't remember the words - he should be visualising what he wants to happen, see it happening as he arrives, not get there and then try and think of something to do with the ball.

I really like Osula but I don't think he'll cut it at hte level we want to go to..

Always wanted the Osula to come good. Sadly, he's like a deaf Jack Russell. Once he's out the car and running you're never calling him back.

    What a quote.

    -------------------

Following Newcastle's sixth win in the Champions League this season, Eddie Howe now has the most victories by an English manager in a single season

He's moved ahead of Bobby Robson in 2002-03 (with Newcastle) and Graham Potter in 2022-23 (with Chelsea) - both five.

    Good lad Eddie.

aye but a deaf one can't hear instructions.

It's a shame, there were signs early on that the kid was learning but after a season and half he's not really developing.

Better move him on for the 25-30m in the summer and put that cash toward a player who will have an impact.

No chance he's going for anything near that, mind, Raga.

Wish we'd taken the 20 mil from Frankfurt. Now, I'd sell him for a multipack of crisps and two Pokemon cards and I wouldn't even stop to ask what flavour crisps they were.
