I think we're cold, passionless people in the north east where money is God. We've got no history that I'm aware of industrial disputes.
I remember reading that the oil and gas industry landed in Aberdeen, not because of the depth of the harbour as the myth goes, but because the Americans didn't want to set up in Dundee because of the city's long history of industrial action.
Aberdonians, on the other hand, would do anything for a buck...
