Just because she's family, doesn't necessarily mean that you'd trust her to look after your child.

But if it was proven to be a workable solution, then Cummings had got a lot to answer.

That wasn't hard to predict was it

Not sure this one’s going away mista. Even the ‘Torygraph’ has a list of 18 questions about Cummings some of which seek to incriminate Johnson in the decision for Cummings to ‘break lockdown’ and go to Durham.

Johnson has certainly got it sorted before he started to speak . Obviously keep repeating about the child and any parent would have done the same . I've just been checking some of the dates April 5th " A witness says they saw Me Cummings at his parents home near Durham April 9th Deputy medical officer Jennie Harries gives a revised update saying" being to ill to look after a small child is an exceptional circumstance " Coicindence or not but whatever he broke the rules before the update

I've said it before, sack him.

The rules are the rules and should be applied to anyone trying to impose them
But that applies to all of them.
Forget witch hunts, ALL OF THEM.

    Ask Stephen Kinnock for example.

The curious thing about the distancing rules are that you have to break them to enforce them, as Piers Corbyn and his protestor group found out at the hands of the unmasked but gloved old bill last week.

How do you unmask lockdown breakers?
Politicians who live by the sword must also perish by it, but it's not just politicians. They are the (worthy) scapegoats. I have a family member who believes lockdown doesn't apply to her and she regularly goes to stay in a second home over weekends undetected.

The answer would be to put track and trace on all vehicles, or maybe chip people so they can be detected next time, but I fear civil libertarians might be up in arms, possibly rightly!! The only thing to do is to trust individuals, and which group of people come out as the least trusted in society year in, year out..... yep, the politicians.

Geoff even you in leafy Surrey can't defend him . If he had the balls to come out and apologise . I'm sure people would have taken a more lenient view ,but no he doesn't need to because he's got that much over Johnson ,he knows he's not going to sacked he knows far to much

I wasn't defending him, but cautioning against hypocrisy.
