Can I suggest a well thought out strongly worded letter comprehensively covering all the sensible points (leave out the nasty or silly stuff) in this thread and send it to the club, owners and manager.

Better still, a petition. Maybe somebody with experience could organise a NCM petition and this could support the letter and convince the owners to make a change. Albeit during a very tough and uncertain economic time.

It surely will have more impact and effect than this thread alone.

    Thoughts?

If this forum roughly reflects the mood of the x amount of people streaming games, then a drop off in people willing to pay - match to match - might tell them something. I'm not saying the owners are relying on stream revenue, or that people should withdraw their support in that fashion, but basic logic would tell you that the numbers will go down rather than up if the team isn't entertaining, getting results and giving people hope that Notts are serious contenders for promotion.

Only two clubs can make it, we appear to be miles off the pace, there's no real improvement on this time last season (with all the excuses we had then) and who would back Ardley in a play off final if we made it that far?

When you look at the action taken by other struggling East Midlands clubs, Derby, Forest and Mansfield, we are being left even further behind by sticking with Ardley. Those other clubs have recognised that they weren't on to a winner with their managers and have been decisive about it, Forest and Mansfield having made what I consider to be very good appointments while we just soldier on with a lame duck. It's all well and good wanting stability, but not at the cost of of being competitive and the chance of success, neither of which I can see Ardley delivering.

Any hope of automatically winning promotion disappearing faster than a duck's ar*e in a strong tail wind. Wouldn't worry too much about playoffs to be honest, either.

Davy please try and improve your spelling just a little because at the moment you are all over the shop in almost every post and it will confuse some on here.

You are also getting very confused, it's not as simple as believing Ardley is the man versus Ardley isn't the man. There isn't just two camps, there never has been, no matter how many times you try to paint that picture.

You can keep repeating yourself for as long as you like on here but what do you hope to achieve? The owners will make the decision after 10 games, 20 games, end of season whenever they choose to. Whenever that happens I'm sure everyone will respect their decision.

What do you hope to achieve by sticking with Ardley - no matter how many times you paint the picture - there is 2 camps - either Ardley gets us promoted or he does not

And for the Ardley disciples benefit, and especially you and swalepie, magpiemania etc - todays result changes nothing - purely from Ardley as a manager point of view-it angered me after another poor display for the most part of the game, we won with what was a fluke ending, and that will secure Ardleys job for another month, he always does just enough to keep his job

I imagine you typing that whilst red in the face and stamping your feet

Oh Davy, they weren't the two camps and you know it you naughty little scamp.

Of course he either will get us promoted or he won't, and the latter is more likely and has been since a ball was kicked.

If we get promoted nearly all of us can celebrate , if he doesn't you can be happy cos he will be gone and you get a new manager. It's a win : win.

If you are putting yesterday's injury time winner down as a fluke, surely you have to put Tuesday nights injury concession down to a (negative) fluke as well?

You can't have it one way and not the other , that would be a clearly unbalanced view#noagenda

I can imagine you were delighted, your idol gets let of the hook , for another 3 or 4 games, giving Ardley more time, that you crave

Its a win for nobody if we do not get promoted this season, how is wasting 2 years, and being in a lower division a win, far to higher price to pay just to get a new manager

As for Tuesday night concession , and todays winner, they were all based on a largely negative poor performances, with Notts unable to finish of poor teams, then going in to the closing stages, with the games still on a knife edge

But i can simplify things vey easily for you , sticking with Ardley = National league next season

Davy, you’re making yourself look a bit daft now. How can taking 4 points from two away games, following an enforced ‘Covid break’, not change anything? The team have overcome a challenging ‘stop-start’ opening couple of months to the season whilst missing key players and are still improving on last seasons start.

We’ve taken four points this week towards promotion without playing as well as we can but we battled to the very end yesterday and got just rewards....how is that a fluke? What would it realistically take for you to stop the tedious vendetta we have to endure literally every....single...day?

You’re actually choosing to be negative instead of looking that the situation objectively....you’re not the only one. At least your not one of the clowns saying they are seriously considering the actions of the owners, they’re the real embarrassments.

Yes we have taken 4 points from two games (should have been six of course) but the performances were poor, tactics poor and motivation (save last minute at Chesterfield) poor. I don't own a pitchfork but I am not convinced Ardley will get success this season because he isn't a good manager.
