This is the kind of comment that's really starting to grind my gears at the moment. "The silence is deafening" et cetera et cetera.

I get there's bit of excitement as we genuinely have no clue who'll come in but people are just so ridiculously impatient.

There's absolutely zero rush, we're ticking along just fine at the moment under Robsons care. Have faith that there will be no shortage in interest for this job. If the quality isn't there, lets not rush anything.



Oooh from that pool of available decent managers that seems to be hugely populated at the minute?

If the ongoing delay means that we are missing out on good prospective managers then there is clearly a rush. No one knows what’s going on behind the scenes, apart from one poster, but it would be good if we could have some clarity, going forward. If Barry is going to be given the job, say, till at least we see if he can secure a top six finish then that should be made clear by the Club. Maybe get an automatic car?

We aren’t just talking about the minute though are we.

Do you honestly think if a decent manager was available at the times Stephen Glass or Jim Goodwin would have been anywhere near getting an interview never mind the job?

It’s not like they impressed so much in their interviews that they beat off the competition.

From what I remember the guy Cowely and Shaun Maloney were interviewed along with Glass and Jack Ross was interviewed along with Goodwin.

The problem here is that people still think the right manager could make a difference.

The job of Aberdeen manager is not to get us relegated. That’s the only record we have that is still within our control. Winning cups regularly, qualifying for the group stages - it’s never happening. The way the game is officiated & the way our club & the league is set up, would prevent it from happening regardless of who was in charge. All we can do is try and avoid appointing turkeys like Glass & Goodwin. COYR!!!

Is this coming from your “contacts” that told you Neil Lennon had the gig?

Did he turn it down as he didn’t want to work with Gunn or his “mate” Burrows?

Lennon is definitely on the list and has been approached to see if he would be interested…as far as I know, he is.
Robson is in the driving seat though and that is a worry.
Another piece of information….Adi Hutter hasn’t been approached (been in contact with his agency ) and he is on the look out for a management job (done a couple of weeks ago).

On another note, i might put my own name forward….a kids 2011 team i coach have started the season off very well (100% record) only conceding 1 goal in 3 matches (take note Jim Goodwin). This football manager gig is a breeze, especially when your players know the job they have to do and you set them out to win and not just contain the opposition.

If Lennon was the preferred choice he could have been appointed weeks ago - pretty much as soon as Burrows walked in the door

Glad that you made contact with Adi Hutters agency though. He may be slightly confused now about whether to step up for the Dons job or be your assistant at Clackmannan 2011s

I still strongly believe that neither Glass or Goodwin had any formal “interview” for the gig at all, that’s how totally fcuked up both theae appointments were and that was proven with what follwed (the sacking of both)
I am also starting to believe no decent manager actually wants the job, and cant really them either.
