You would need to jog my memory. Calderwood definitely deserved the sack & I was happy enough with McGhee at the time. Russell Grant couldn’t have predicted how shyte he would turn out

There was plenty of people who knew McGhee was a terrible manager.

You were one of the many on here at the time who claimed he was going to bring back the glory days with his all out attacking football.

The football was worse under McGhee than it was under Calderwood.

Nah, that wasn’t me. The best I’ll stretch to was not minding him coming. Club legend n’all that.

It was TheRedAvenger that was most vocal in the Dingus fan club, to the extent he put money on him being a success with another posted (canny mind which one) Domt think he posts again after paying out, which was a shame

I admit to thinking McGhee was a good appointment, I would have given him the job a few years previously.

Still, I was never nearly as embarrassed with McGhee as I was black affronted having Calderwood anywhere near Pittodrie.

There’s a shiver running down my spine just thinking about that a’rsehole.

McInnes spoke very well from his first day at the club to his last. I couldn't stand Calderwood because he was virtually incapable of stringing a coherent sentence together. McGhee I was happy with, although I wanted him in a lot earlier, around about the time he was between Millwall/Wolves. But quickly a big disapointment.

Happy enough that he has gone, it was his arrogance that done for him....that and being an utter sh1tebag.

Russell Grant would probably have been a better manager than McGhee

I hated Jimmy’s constant love affair with the Huns and the endless references to wee Barry, big Lee etc

    We go again.
Gloating? What did you get right? It's fuc king easy to say you dont like an incoming new manager and he should be sacked after his first season and over time even after a good first 4 seasons your still going on!

Granted he then has a poor 3 years and a horrendous last 4 months and is rightly sacked or rather a mutual parting. Mason you got **** all right you just hated him from the start imho.

    You predicted nothing!

Not much wrong with that, he’s entitled to his opinion.

I’ve felt a bit sorry for Mason because he’s had to endure repeated contracts being lavished on someone he felt was an embarrassment as an Aberdeen manager.

I never felt like that about McIness but understood Mason’s predicament because that was exactly how I felt about Calderwood.
