Have to agree. Decisiveness is a huge part of being an effective defender - you need to know what you're going to do with the ball before you get to it, are you going to take a touch, make an instant pass, lump it upfield or put it in row Z? McLennan always looks like he has no idea what he's going to do with the ball each time he gets it. I don't see any of signs of him making it as a defender. Just doesn't have the right skill set. If he could learn to consistently beat his man and put in a cross he could still make it on the wing, though.

I think he's a loon who just needs his role on the pitch simplified for him as much as possible.

I can’t make up my mind as to what was the worst decision...
Giving McLennan a 2 year deal, or giving Devlin a “6 month trial” to prove his fitness.

I for one don’t care what age the players are who we sign....as long as they are good enough to win the league then I don’t see the fuss.

    Apology accepted pal
Yeh I agree, canna see him playing week in week out, as you say he is going to be here first and foremost as a coach.
Him and McGinn would be two good impact subs.
I'm not all that bothered about the age of the payers we sign although I do constantly have a wee dig with the over 30 tick the box thing (my sorry attempt at a bit of banter I guess)
As others have said as long as we have a team competing for trophies and winning them then I am not all that bothered about the average age of that team, but need to keep bleeding in one or two of young ones with potential.

That’s what I was hoping, but it’s looking more like we are expecting a season out of him as a player.

Think it depends on what happens with Ferguson,Brown will still do job for us playing if needed but i'd hope we dont need him playing much

I think he wants to play as well. He could have stayed at Celtic in a player-coach role and got more money but he chose to come to us. Part of that decision is down to more playing time I suspect.

It's time Glass resigned. He should have signed a whole new squad by now, all of them being 19-25yrs old and first team picks.

    He's had his chance.

    Bloody ******* he is.
