Totally agree EP, I watched Somerset smash our attack all over the park, on a completely benign pitch, and was hoping to see similar done to the Somerset attack. Oh no not from this Notts batting? line up. Embarrassing does not even get close to describing the reply to the victory target Somerset set us. I am usually picked out as a happy clapper to all the sporting teams I support, because I like to be positive, but NCCC really need calling out over displays like this.

I think it's fair to say that was a "sub-optimal" Notts CCC performance.

Another capitulation tonight. A fairly modest target of 169 should have been a very difficult one after Afridi reduced Warks to 7 for 4 after just one over, but Notts managed to bottle it again.

The ability is there, but the guts and application are sadly lacking.

Wow that is some achievement even by Notts’ high standards of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Never mind, they can adopt the new cavalier style shown by England by finding it funny when you fail to lay bat on ball whilst playing the most stupid of shots and yet you escape being bowled. I’m all for playing adventurous cricket but you need to temper that with some degree of intelligence depending on the situation of the game. Something our national team are failing to do at present.

Wow that is a spectacular fail, even by Notts standards, and I am guessing Ollie Stone is injured again after managing three balls. Great signing Notts, he was either going to continue to be a sick note or get carted off to play for England.

So Notts limp into the T20 quarter finals after scraping a narrow win against whipping boys Leicestershire. Away to Somerset is daunting, just hope a few injured players are available.

Won’t matter. We are poor. Somerset have shown themselves to be the best T20 side this year and I fully expect a hammering.

That's the spirit Notts78. If we can get Samit and Munro back, and a fully up to speed Imad Wasim, you never know. Nice to see Tom Moores get a couple of decent back to back scores. I do not rate him as a keeper, and think Clarke would do a better job, but he is a very destructive batsmen to have in the side.
