Vallance worked for GlaxoSmithKline, a company developing Covid vaccines, from 2006 to 2018, he owns over half a million pounds of GSK shares, Vallance and Whitty dictated government policy on Lockdowns, Vaccines, Testing and Masking. Everything in fact, nothing happened without the man from GSK's approval.

There has never been any evidence that they work, the Danish study early on showed that they made little difference, but that was suppressed in the media and anyone mentioning it on social media was banned as a misinformation spreader. The latest Cochrane Review is already being rubbished by the Grauniad and I can find no mention of it on the BBC website. Hopefully the Telegraph's Lockdown Files will get around to what Hancock was saying about the masking scam eventually.
