They never suffer though. The Merc/BMW or whatever car of choice is always updated on a regular basis and the kids schooling fees are always covered, however much they claim the world is against them.

It's the poor ba stards who work for them that suffer. I'm glad to say I was the only one from our house to escape working in the fishing industry.

Valid points. The boat owners now “employ” slaves too, seriously, from Africa and elsewhere.

    PS - DeeDon reply.

Shïte chipper, always was, always will be.
It called something stupid like The Rosemount Chip Company, no it's not, I just looked it up, it's the Fish & Hook

I remember it opening as The Kiwi in the sixties, it was bloody awful then and no matter how many different owners it's had it has always been bowfin.

Yes, the Kiwi - I remember it well in the 70’s when visiting Aberdeen.

I think it was called the Kiwi in the early 90s when I stayed in Rosemount.

    It really was bad.

There was a Kiwi on King Street right by Harrow Road. It was OK, preferable to the Continental across from Summerfield Terrace, and the Bluebird in Urquhart Road where I think they ran mock chops through a blender before pouring them over flash-fried raw chips.

Presumably the same chipp**, possibly under different ownership, but I wasn’t in that area of the City in the 90’s though.

While I agree that the Kiwi was indeed "bowfin', I've given the 'Fish and Hook' a couple of tries lately and was very impressed. I would recommend it, particularly for their Haddock supper.
