I'm not saying you 'need' players to interchange. I'm just saying I welcome players to the club who look like they could improve us and was making the point that McMullan has played on the left wing for us before and looked good! You'd assume Bolton is being brought in as a winger as Smith and Freeman seem to be our RB cover this year so like I said, the more wingers we have, the better.

First few games will show MM which players can fit into his style, and how their abilities or lack of them, amend the possibilities

Generally I prefer a settled team with any rotation down to injury or form. At this level we'll need two players for every position plus the youngsters so hope for further arrivals

Not a criticism, I agree, and expect some surprises, perhaps wingers will play wide and forwards will hunt in pairs :-)

In that case, I'd definitely think Bolton is being brought in as a winger, certainly initially.

I dread when we play Celtic and Newco.

No waving of white flags here but those are glamour and win or lose we should have a ball.
We shouldn't dread any game but we do need to concentrate on the bread n butter games that really matter.
I said previously the run of games from Sep to early Nov are so important and will define our season, the games v Celts/Gers won't

I think the way we thought tooth and nail to keep Neilson probably shows that the big bosses probably agreed with the fans perception that some of the football not to the standard expected. I also think once the nonsense with hertz is over we will see some movement into the transfer

I think the squad is very unbalanced

We have loads of players whose best position is as striker or behind the strikers

We have no real wide players except mcmullan and sporle is he is playing more forward.

We don’t have enough centre backs

Makes total sense to be bringing in the young lad from Man City as a winger
