He's not going to start this Thursday and Considine will start the season at left back.
Potentially I see he'll get his chance if one of the CH's get injured and Considine covers there.

Harvie is well thought of within the club
And so is Considine so as you say there is no chance we will sign a left back. Then there is always Shinnie as a fill in at LB if the others are banned or injured

We missed the boat. If we'd offered Preston the £400k they allegedly wanted when Grayson was in charge we'd have him.

And in any case, do we need May AND Moult, when we have Rooney?
In 95% of the time DM has been manager he's played a 4-2-3-1.

You could argue we'd be better spending £400-£500k on a good centre half as we haven't had one since Russell retired.

You could also argue that we should spend money on Moult AND a centre half seeing as we have the cash for selling Jonny Hayes
I think we'll see a lower league English based centre half signed similar to what we did with Taylor & O'Connor. Sadly.
I would like us to put in the £400,000 bid that Preston's chairman said would be the required fee for Stevie May. Just to see if A.Neil would be overruled by his boss. Neil may see the cash as money to strengthen other areas of greater importance in his squad.
A centre half will be a challenge for McInnes and his scout(s) to find....I would be tempted to look abroad maybe eastern European to try and find what we are looking for. The English market is difficult as the wages are better at small clubs.
To answer you on do we need May and Moult when we have Rooney...I would say why not as you can never have enough scoring options in your squad. Goals win games and as a good defence is good to have I just like the thought of we will score more than you approach. Scottish football is dreadful at times...Let's get a bit excitement into the matches against the teams who like to park the bus when we play them.
Plenty time for signings on the domestic front...not so much for our European challenge.

Looked like we perhaps had a centre half trialist, this afternoon.

Little to do, same as German boy at St Johnstone.

The German boy was a funny een as the Evening on the Monday said he was being kept on longer for further looks. Then by the end of the monday night it was on the Dons website he had went home and wished the best of luck

Nae sure why folk are getting excited by May, been injury prone and won't be fit for ages. Spending money on May is a risk in my opinion. Moult wouldn't fit either but at least the risk is less and can certainly do a job. Thought Halloran would have been targeted however it appears not. He's a good player and better the st johnstone.
Need a centre half though. In fact I think we need 2.

Well he played and scored for Preston at the weekend,Alex Neil said his injury problems are behind him.

Apparently Moult is injured though,I read their manager saying he was hoping he will be fit in time for the first game of the season.
