The news media have been as poor as Public Health England in this crisis IMO.

Police caught a family at 5am from London going on a 200 mile fishing trip, fined & sent home.

Then there the 18 year old caught 6 times breaking the lock down

Imagine having the worry of this pandemic, sheltering at home and facing tornadoes like much of the S and SE of the States are living with at the moment. Talk about kicking people when they are already down.

Air pollution levels in the UK have dropped significantly in the weeks since the country went into lockdown.
The nitrogen dioxide (NO2) level has fallen across the UK, with the daily average down almost 40% on the same period last year.

    Fewer people are outside .

Supermarkets sale drop (probably more shopping local)
    Buying less fresh foods

    Universal credit soars

    More domestic abuse calls

Obviously a lot of guests on news programs are being interviewed whilst working from home .
But Nine out of ten insist on having a backdrop of bookshelves or a mini library.

I wonder if they are trying to appear intellectual or is this another example of people just mirroring what others are doing.
Maybe it's one of the lesser known lockdown rules and you won't get on TV unless one of your rooms is set up like Waterstones bookshop

You're quite right flour .Not one example of a pushbike being dismantled on the kitchen floor in the background

Alan Shearer looked like he was in his bathroom or something but otherwise I agree.

Just got to say, total respect to the young people at my local COOP on Worrygoose for keeping the store open day and night and all through the Easter Weekend.

I mention these youngsters as they are a much maligned group. Thank you.

Agree with that WanChai , there are thousands of people out there putting themselves at great risk in many understated areas .

Food retail and the supply chain workers deserve great credit for keeping us fed and watered in these troubling times .

These workers aren't on fantastic money by any means but their value is enormous .
