Good luck to him....he's gonna need it, haha! A little left field but more experience than the PE teacher who we'd also never heard of had until he became our head coach. I'm hoping the assistant has more of an impact than Doyle had as that was disappointing.

Have we sent the set piece coach we had packing as his impact was even less than Doyles.

I sense that this appointment has been a bit underwhelming for many. First of all, what did you expect? Second, we can't judge his one managerial stint too harshly given what was going on behind the scenes. The bros wanted a head coach, and by all accounts, this guy is a very well-respected coach.

Will that be enough? No idea/probably not. But let's all get behind him and the team from the start and avoid losing our heads if we don't win the first game by three goals.

    Good like Luke! COYP

Is he a ''set piece coach''? I just thought he was responsible for providing the analysis on set pieces and then it's up to the coach to sort the weaknesses out?

Well it's sink or swim for the owners now. How low we have foookin fallen, when you see the list that the bookies were putting up. You live in hope being a Notts' supporter, but my hope is dwindling

Hold on, you still live in hope? I thought we'd all agreed communally that all hope was lost long ago? It's certainly easier to assume that's the case.

As for Williams - lots of praise for his coaching abilities and as Jacob said looks a bit more intimidating so we'll wait and see.

If the squad improves and Williams is even a slightly improvement of Birchnall we should be up there challenging.

Happy with the 2 signings so far and if the 4 mentioned above are actually signing we've done well so far. Dodoo hasn't got a great scoring record but will certainly be a nice foil for Langstaff or a good option for last 20.

Both MacDonald (if Angus) and Bajrami would be improvements on Lacey and Rawlinson from my limited knowledge of them.

As someone else pointed out other one will be the forward Joe Mason, at MK when Williams was there.
Ah, that Joe Mason. I have heard of him. You’d think he’d be great at this level if he’s still got anything.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the MacDonald was Shaun, goalkeeper recently turned down a new deal at Torquay. We like shopping there.
