He's done better, that can't be denied, but he hasn't done anything that makes me think he might actually be the real deal. It's still heart in the mouth stuff and I still have zero confidence in him whatsoever. He can't be our no.1 next season.

I agree with this. We need someone better for next season.

The issue is if he can show form for next season then he can walk away with some respect for himself that he turned around his own form and helped in keeping us up

Doesn’t make up for the fact that he has been a major part of the disaster of this season.

We need another Benji or Trevor Carson for next season.

Goalkeeper and striker are probably the most important positions on the pitch

Things were bad enough before it, but there was no going back after the Stevie May howler. Even if we’d got a draw that day we’d currently only be one point behind them and they are in total free fall and full on panic mode. So the effects of Popp’s actions are still being felt right now.

If he stays consistent between now and the end of the season ( I have still have MAJOR doubts over that) and help keeps us up, then we thank him for his service, let him go and move on.

Agree with this. Every set piece around the box or shot on target my heart is in my mouth. I have zero confidence in him.

He did well on Saturday and I hope to god he continues this. However a new keeper is essential for next season. If JG signs on I’m sure he will see that as a priority.

Is it possible for him to come good and be our number 1? Hard to imagine to be honest the mistakes he's made are horrendous.

NO... At his age he should really be able to do the fundamentals of a goalie.

Maybe he has found himself at a higher level than he expected (not very high TBH) fair enuff. but , his response has been poor. He doesn't react to pressure very well, and after the split EVERY match will be a pressure match.

I was always nervous of the split when we had 'no bad' keepers, this time however it's Pampers time.

His distribution is good, I'll give him that.

no and he shouldn't even be given the opportunity. even if he's man of match, 10 out of 10, wonder save after wonder save every match till end of season he still has to go as there is no way he can out way the bad hes done in the games we have left

If it was just brain farts then i could accept he might be able to cut those out and come good, but this keeper is the worst i have ever seen at basic saves where it looks harder to not save them.
