Interesting point of view, though again a rather broad brush statement which is actually meaningless.
Ah yes the well known trope about consultants, well like all things it depends what your employing them to do, generally one uses them for discrete short term projects where either you don't have the staff resources in a company or specialist projects where you do not have the expertise or for regular expert advice.
Having both used them and been one, they are at times invaluable, but I have also seen them employed for no good reason that I could fathom, well actually I did know why they were employed and it didn't add value.
See Farage has a ‘new project’ called ‘Fortune and Freedom’ through which he appears to wish to advise people on how to take control of their money!
Apart from the fact that, along with most of the current Cabinet and their cronies, he’d top the list of people I’d be least likely to trust with anything at all, what is going on?
Is this attention seeking oaf just going to continue stumbling from one area of national paranoia to another in order to make a good living for himself while causing chaos wherever he goes, or can someone who knows more about matters financial put a more generous slant on things?
Are you still debating over whether you're going to send him a Christmas card? I do wish you'd make your mind up on the chap![]()

Perhaps you can sign up and tell us all !!!
I am not sure what the FCA will make of it all, since the giving of financial advice is, quite properly, heavily regulated and in theory only properly qualified individuals are allowed to give investment advice etc. EG despite being an accountant I am nt permitted to give advice on investments, pensions etc without jumping through a lot more hoops - which I have chosen not to do.
But quite frankly, let him get on with it. if you don't interact with him or his website, it cant do you any harm. Unless you are on a mission to save the country from both itself, and from a guy who, in his own words, doesn't trust the government or the elite financial institutions.
Actually on that front I didn't think you did either, or is it that you trust Farage even less?
They say that you cannnot con an honest man, trouble is there will probably be enough people aiming to make a "dodgy few quid" this way who will then whinge later when it all goes wrong. This is why I have no truck with so called victims of pyramid selling or ponzi scams.
No thanks.
That’s what I thought...apart from being some sort of former banker, not sure what his actual ‘qualifications’ are.
I don’t think I can think of any individual I’d regard as more disingenuous and less trustworthy than Farage, and given that Johnson, Gove and Patel provide the competition that’s quite an ‘achievement’.
