Mellon gone and Hughes incoming

I was initially told that Tam was the man but i did say that was not from a director or anyone as lofty as that.Affshore from some of his posts had heard the same.
Only one poster on here said that he MAY have been speaking to someone inside Tannadice and Courts would NOT be our next manager.
That's the best we have to go on but that view from inside the club was contrary to anything i had been told.As far as i was aware Tam was our next manager in waiting and i posted these exact words on this very board,FACT.

And as I said, the long term plan was for Courts to take over, unfortunately that plan didn't involve Mellon leaving when he left. If this was 2023 then Courts would have been in straight away. When Mellon left/pushed/sacked that changed everything. Courts MIGHT still get the job, but if he does its because nobody outstanding has come forward. Also everyone's opinion on 'outstanding' is different, as you can see by opinions on here.

Not disagreeing with a word of what you have posted but it does seem very far fetched that there was any planning involving Dundee United in 2023.We appear(only my opinion)to be a club in complete turmoil in 2021 so i cannot fathom out if they even have a plan for the next fortnight never mind the next two years mate.

BTW there is no one on here more gutted than i am at the complete shambles at Tannadice,i really do not like posting about the club in a negative light or falling out with good posters over it.

I initially said the longer this goes on, the less chance there is of it of being Courts. I'm now thinking the longer there is complete silence, then it is actually gonna be him. To have heard nothing, not even a hint of boys being interviewed or lined up other than as assistant, suggests its already been decided

What will be will be - we need to back them but its clear as day that if results struggle at first its going to be a tough gig for them. Neither have any managerial experience in senior football. writing that i just shiver but hey could be a masterstroke.

Agree mate we will have to back them, but I can see this having a knock on effect for further ST sales
