Also a wobbly 5. Just too many options that could only be resolved with lucky guesses or burning. Think it odd that the Wordl setters chose words with such a similar structure two days in a row.
Kudos to Howdy/Simple Brin for getting a 3.

A late knock from Adventus tips the balance in The Home Boys favour on yet another abject day for The Exiles bowlers. As we head into the final day of the 2nd match they are 245-2 and a par performance will now secure the 280 runs they will need for the win barring an unlikely 7 wicket haul from the rag tag bunch of ex-pat leather chuckers.
It does look that way, CAM.
I wonder if a slight improvement in a future cricket based match-up would be to give the bowling side one wicket if an individual player gets two scores of 4 in an innings (and a second wicket for a further two scores of 4 which would be possible in a 5 day innings.)
It seems a tad unfair to the bowling side to have the same (lack of) impact on the game whether they score 4, 5 or 6. I know we have managed to bowl everybody out once in an innings but it shouldn't be so hard to do if there are five days of play.
Statistics February 22-28
Some tough words in the week in question with the toughest of all being PIPER on the 24th with a 5.25 average (5.22 on MM with 2 fails) and easiest was SMITH on the 26th with a 3.7 average (but despite the RUFC link and the what was then an upcoming derby game the MMadsters fell to a poor 4.00)
It's difficult to say CT as it really depends on the way the WORDLEs fall and ultimately how well the players do. I actually based the scoring on the data I had on a spreadsheet for the first 4 days of the singles in the Ryder Cup where the Exiles would have been 7 under par or 235 all out and The Home Boys 8 under par or 255-8 so I thought the balance looked about right for a 5 day innings.
Hoped for better. Only a 5 today.
