You might also wish to witness with your own eyes. In Indy we were told about peaceful protests. When during downtown 2 days later an entire block was burnt out. Obviously the journalist was told what to report. That’s not brainwashing. That’s seeing with your own eyes

It’s also common sense that news and media should not be funded by governments. You don’t bite th hand that feeds you
I'm a "healthy sceptic" when it comes to news broadcasters and printed media in particular, but at least there is a means of establishing the veracity by using various published sources, instead of the more "popular" approach which essentially boils down to anyone with a camera phone is able to post what they film without any oversight, fact-checking or verification, yet gullible fools swallow it all simply because the "author" isn't from Fox, or NBC, or CNN, or BBC (which by the way, just FYI, is NOT funded by the government, I and millions of others fund it via the license fee and it generates its own commercial income, all without advertising in the UK).

And you have the bare-faced cheek to suggest that folks "witness with your own eyes" having spouted the nonsensical drivel about life here in the UK, when you haven't even visited this place.

and on it goes - do you not see the hypocrisy in what you are accusing Spaldy of having started a thread based around largely slagging of the US and its current administration?

You are never going to agrree on politics when the views are both so polarise and I suspect you have little interest in walking a mile in the other point of views shows.

The endless lecturing and hectoring of people makes this forum less fun than it should be.

Other than to wind people up or seek self gratification why do you actually post on here?

Actually disagree and agree with some comments being uttered..... but persuasive writing should use logic and reason to show that one idea is more legitimate than another.
.... helps to get results and pay the bills in my experience.

Many good and bad experiences over my 60 years from conception tell me that a wise man never knows it all.... as in understanding true wisdom involves recognising the limits of ones knowledge and remaining open to new information and perspectives as successful people ask better questions and as a result they get better answers in my aging experience.
..... that reality contrasts with the fools who arrogantly believes they possess all the answers as wise individuals would always acknowledge their limitations, they do in my experience anyway and are always eager to learn and foster a growth mindset.... which is what I have instilled into my four children all bought up in different individual economic family circumstances in different countries.

The specific context and desired level of intensity when exercising freedom of speech politely involves respectfully sharing your opinions and ideas while remaining mindful of others in my mind when discussing controversial topics....
Great threads should always involve the polite exercise of free speech which also means actively listening to and considering diverse viewpoints.... even if you disagree with them.... would be my being my take on matters on here.

Happy that so many on here are fortunate to have such insight and the time to spend it so generously with us but as the many missing members that I know often state.... having serious reservations actually expressing an opinion on here nowadays due to fear of any verbal come back anticipated is the problem.... which is a real shame.

If you stand by the river bank long enough, you will see the bodies of your enemies go floating by.

Ok so another day another and more stories if it wasn't written you wouldn't believe it.
In Ireland man kidnaps' 5 year old kid offered deportation instead of jail time I mean WTF.
Here another old man this time 70 gets killed in his home by 35 year old robber whom bail will be given no betting on that.
We have movie producers directors making us see and warn us what's ahead and true there visions are happening.
We have yes professors (Muslim) and other Muslim people warning us about taking in muslims.
We see what is happening in Afrikka all over yet we bring them into our own countries.
In America no different same problems one the Afrikaans self caused by slavery now we have a minority blacks decent people yet the majority are gangsters murderous robbers so on. It's too late for them even though TRUMP is trying we have the do gooders trying to stop him in every front.
Here we introduced in some parts because of crime going through the roof of adult crime adult time for youth that is out of control and the UN coming out saying it's in human WTF
The world talks a lot about dictators but i see there countries don't have the problems we have and are causing.
When is EUROPE as a whole come together and do something.
The solution by our master minds in Australia is to close prisons down one after the other and when asked why are criminals allowed to go free by judges answer given is there is no room to put them away well hello dumb asses.
Don't know about you people but I'm really fed up.
