I never really thought much of Jack Ross as a manager. He got third in an absolute sh!te league this season but you have to question him in matches like today.
Callum Davidson carries a bit luck but obviously does his homework. Tactically a good manager and St.Johnstone will do well to keep a hold of him. Ross will end up getting sacked at Hibs.
Absolutely agree re Ross. If that was McInnes' Dons not turning up (again) at Hampden the pitch forks would be out. The guy is developing a losers tag thats for sure, and yep, I think he'll be sacked as well.
Pleased for St Perth but I feel sorry for them it's happened this season.
You could've got loads of young kids, floating voters who could end up obsessed with wendy money ball, along. And seeing your team win a cup when you're a bairn hooks you for life.
Watched the final and I don't think anyone could argue that St Johnstone didn't deserve it.
So Callum Davison wins two cups in his first season as manager, no excuses for Mr Glass next season if we finish trophyless.
Goes to show what you can do with a group of motivated players and sound tactics.
I bet Bryson is gutted he left us now.![]()
Well done St Johnstone. A group of players who along with their manager have worked their arses off to become double cup winners.
3 cups for St. Johnstone since we last won one.
Well done to the farmers - genuinely happy for them. A good club, well run by an excellent chairman, in stark contrast to us in our recent history.
It’s also good for us that HIV’s won’t be getting any big euro cash windfall now (no chance they’ll get through qualifying same as we wont) as that could have made life more difficult for us next season.
So, St J enjoy more success in 6 months than we’ve managed in 30 years. Substantially more if you also include 2014.
Our record looks worse and worse every year. Embarrassing really...
But who could do better on our budget?
