absolutely and imagine the effect on the youngsters - they will crumble and be worth peanuts. So i have to try and believe we will mix it up with experience and youth.

edit to say: hope courts has a thick skin. Many will look for any crack. Better performances attacking and some results may help him get backing. 3 or 4 losses at start would be meltdown

Just out of pure interest when would you say we last had a team that WAS pleasing on the eye? Not setting a trap for you mate but for me it was the Jackie Mac side before ST wrecked the club. That seems a very long time ago.

In defence of the Club I think they recognise that it is possible to have a side that gets results AND is good on the eye. Successive teams have looked under coached.

I'd probably agree tbh. We played some great football back then and that 2014 final still makes me feel sick to my stomach, worst journey home ever knowing we should have had another trophy in the cabinet.

Some amazing football. Jackie just needed to suss out teams like st js and st mirren but he couldnt. we also got feck all help from refs though.

We have had our own warnings from history regarding selling off players too early.Hearts went for Cathro who had a much bigger and better CV than Tam and that went tits up.
The twist there was at least Cathro had Levein as Director of Football whereas Tam has got The Big Man.Its got disaster written all FN over it,FACT.

Not disagreeing with a word of what you have posted but it does seem very far fetched that there was any planning involving Dundee United in 2023.We appear(only my opinion)to be a club in complete turmoil in 2021 so i cannot fathom out if they even have a plan for the next fortnight never mind the next two years mate.

BTW there is no one on here more gutted than i am at the complete shambles at Tannadice,i really do not like posting about the club in a negative light or falling out with good posters over it.

It’s unreal how so uncannily close to Sir Pedro’s infamous leaving press conference comment of ‘I fear for the future of Dundee United’ that is.

It was the speed and greed of Tamsin that ultimately phukked up the last attempt at this strategy, had he stuck with selling one or, at the very most, two players each season I think it could have worked out much better than it did. Alas, Tamsin didn’t have a long term plan, his was to get as much money back as possible and as quickly as possible. I’m more content with our current owners and their ability to run this plan successfully. All we need is the staff at Tannadice to do their bit.
