I'm not going to pretend I can see the future, like many politicians do, but a vote for YES is a vote for a resilient Scotland. A Scotland that can work out it's own problems, or not, but at least they will be Scotland's own problems and not problems imposed by a majority in the South of England.
I don't know when the Oil will run out. In 1974 the general consensus was that it would be gone in 30 years. Here we are, 40 years later and they say we still have another 40 year of oil. I won't be surprised if, 40 years from now, we still have 40 years of oil. And, if Scotland stays in the union, the oil will still run out and the entire UK will lose revenue.
But, that's a side issue, as far as I'm concerned. Scotland is so much more than oil.
A YES vote is a vote for self-determination of the people of Scotland. THAT'S what's important.
