Ref needs to answer some serious questions about two decisions at the end to award villa a freekick because a villa defender fell down and waved his arms and to deny us a penalty when Song appeared to be brought down in injury time

Said a few weeks ago that villa are the worst side I've seen in the premier league this season, and I stand by that

No-one could have argued if we'd lost last week. We were probably fortunate to get the win against City. So we had the chances to win comfortably today but didn't. That's football. To quote Allardyce, respect the point.

Villa were'nt very good but still have enough quality players not to be taken for granted although I suspect they'll be fighting a relegation battle all season.

Once again though, the default option and Nolan comes on.

Hi Guys, I'm not WUM but just wanted to comment on the game today if you do not mind, especially as I am a villa fan!

We went in to this game (as fans) thinking we are going to get thumped and lets face it without our keeper we would have!

You guys have turned in to a proper team and good luck to you so, we feel elated tonight having come away from your ground with a point.

PS the script was written for Carol to come and and get that winner, so glad Guzan was in inspired form!

So we have stopped the rot and just wanted to say keep it up guys, So please to see teams like WHU, Everton and maybe us give it to the big boyz!

Well,we were the better team, but for once this year the luck didnt go our way...seemed lots of chances going straight to the keeper..

Refe seemed OK thought we got our share of the 50/50's...didnt have a good view of the Carroll bombardment at the end..

Halfway through the first half it appeared that Kouyate wasnt getting much of the ball or getting in the right areas to receive it. Should have swapped for an attacker then. I thought Jarvis but dont know if he was even on the bench.

I think we have been quite lucky in recent games, this weekend we didn't get the rub, just happy that it wasn't for the lack of commitment and we were competitive in both halves.

IMO if we continue to be positive, we will get our reward for it.
