Not sure on Flores tbh. Think Troy Deeny has been managing Watford for the last 3 years!

Fair chance it'll be Igor. He's up for it, apparently

I know it's one of the things we don't see eye to eye on Swale but McClaren had, at the very least, made his position completely untenable by the time Mel took over.

Anyway, back to what really matters for now...COYR.[/quote]

I was just confirming that it was Mel's decision to sack him as it was being questioned by a poster, I no longer care if it was the right or wrong decision.

Really? That's not going to work. We should all forget about the next manager being a former Derby player as it has no relevance to potential for success. Mel needs to stop listening to sycophantic hanger on advisors and engage his business brain. Get the best most experienced manager available, let him run football matters while MM & Rush run the business and non playing side of things.

Assets for the job (as per MM): have no experience of managing, do as you are told, do it the Derby way (which we'll make up as we go along), talk ****e, have the tactical nous of an amoeba - looking through the list of applicants which include Pep Guardiola, Sir Alex, Jose Mourinho......well it has to be Darren!!

Yes I definitely remember in an interview Mclaren stating that the new owner (Morris) had made the decision to terminate his employment. That is where my quote of 3 managers in 12 months (soon to be 4) is derived from.

Yes that cunning plan to miss out on +£130 million in potential revenue, and have to do better than clubs like Newcastle & Norwich (maybe Hull & Brighton) next season to have a hope of promotion in season 2016-17.
