Amazed KN has let Forte go, the only natural goal scorer at the club. Mind you he left him on the bench for months, and only brought him back as a last resort : some payback, score ***** goals and still get dumped, Is it something personal Kevin? And why is Curtis Thompson playing for Wycombe ? we are not over loaded with talent in midfield are we

Thompson isnt good enough, and has had plenty of time to make himself a first team fixture. Not good enough.
Forte, decent goalscorer, but no its not personal, he was hardly ever fit enough to play. Expensive and hardly fit.

You get the impression that when it comes to recognising good players he doesn't know his arse from his elbow

Hes probably forgotten more than you will ever know, Durham. How can you class someone who is constantly injured, like Forte, as a good player?
As for Thompson, enough managers have seen him, and none of them have seen fit to pick him that regularly. Surely they cant all be wrong.

Give Durham a break. At least he hasn’t mentioned ‘hoof ball’, yet!
This Forum will go in to melt down when Durham says something remotely positive.

True, but I live in hope that I am still around to witness it

He signed Mason from Derby who was a serial crock, He signed Virtue who was absolutely dreadfull and left out Milsom who was the player of the year the previous season. Also, when Milsom played at Accrington he was the motm and dropped for the next game.
Forte wasnt injured as much as you reckon, its just that Nolan prefered to play with 2 geriatric strikers instead. When Forte did play earlier in the season, and for benefit of those who dont go to away games he was played on the wing and was very seldom given a good ball to run on to. Having once spoken to him behind the stand and asked why he wasnt playing, he replied "That he wasnt big enough"...

The counter argument was that Forte had opportunities at the beginning of the season when Notts were at their best this season. He looked lazy and didn’t conform to KN style. If people have not figured out that KN likes his players to work themselves into the ground for the shirt, then you really are clueless.
Yes he played better and applied himself... was he proving a point to KN or to any future suitors.
As for Thompson, I like him, however, as mentioned, several managers have been and gone and none have him an extended run. This also includes GA at WWFC.
I think before people moan about the squad they should wait until the transfer window closes.

Don’t, if it happens we could see a spike in sudden deaths and a whole games worth of standing ovation.
