Two senior EU sources have said the main stumbling block to an agreement has been removed, with the DUP accepting the latest proposals on consent.

There may be an announcement later this evening...paving the way for deal tomorrow....
The thorny issue of getting it through the house of Parliament could be the last hurdle. Apparently the may not sign the deal tomorrow...instead allowing for Parliament to debate an "open deal"...seeing as the last PM's deal failed three times.....
Talk on Channel 4 about the vat situation and that it’s the latest sticking point!

FFS...... after all this negotiation something as insignificant as vat comes up at this stage.

This just proves how totally inept politicians and these non elected EU numpties are.

This should’ve been sorted out years ago.

It’s not a massive issue anyway if a simple agreement is made that allows the status quo to remain.

If I sell to an EU Company or if they sell to me as long as we have each other’s vat numbers no vat is charged on the invoice regardless of if the countries have differing vat rates.

If one country is being seen to be gaining an advantage by having a lower vat rate then decide on a simple compensation levy per annum but f o o k me......it’s like the striker looking for the defenders leg....it’s pathetic at this stage!

I think it is the east west trade......UK into N.Ireland that is the sticking point. Apparently N.Ireland will stay in the EU VAT boundary and not the UK jurisdiction....I believe.
How do you determine what is for the N.Ireland market and what is going into Europe......My understanding of the point at this moment....
Numpties are every where in this day and age Mick...as I am quite sure you know.....there would appear to be one or two in the basement at Number 10 as well.....who wouldn't know what a vote is!
have a good night and you may wake up to a new world tomorrow...or if not tomorrow....soon!!
