Can't imagine being in the midst of a pandemic is helping with matters either...

I think if this deal was going through whilst we were under normal circumstances then the deal will have been done and announced already.

We'll get there with this one.

Do you really think the Prem is gonna turn down that kind of money being involved in their brand?

The Government aren't going to intervene - they love the Saudi's money and investment in UK Business, the City of London & obviously weapons.

Newcastle as a city, Tyneside as a region and our famous club have been neglected and abused since the early 2000s.

The Saudi's are in the process of diversifying away from Oil and Gas.

For 5 yrs I've been promoting investments in Tyneside to all my Qatari friends. Not professionally of course, but just in terms of growth potential.

I imagine the Saudi's via the Rubens & Staverley's company will be investing in the wider area as Mansour has done in Manchester.

Dunno if anyone of you lads or lasses has ever lived in Manchester. I was there for 10 yrs.

East Manchester used to be a Junkie paradise; a total sh!te hole. Since the UAE money has poured into the city the whole place has been given a face lift and investment in local businesses has really improved to see Manchester thrive.

Who wouldn't want to see investment in our beautiful, iconic city?

All good things come to those who wait. It took Man City 22 days for their takeover. Ours went in on 9th April. They didn't have to factor in Easter weekend and lockdown. The checks take between 2-4 weeks in normal circumstances.
Like Raga says, the money will transform a region as well as the club. Just make sure the drink is in.

Not disagreeing with any of this, I dunno if you misinterpreted what I said or if you were adding onto my point? I was just putting my point forward that if the COVID-19 pandemic wasn't happening and we weren't under lockdown that this deal would have been done and announced already...being under lockdown is just slowing the whole process down.

Apparently this Bein Sports complaint has slowed things down, too, as the PL lawyers make sure they have a watertight case for allowing it.
